Anyone who's disappointed in Shamet's production this year, well, that's pretty much what he is. Here's his per-36 min stats for this year and his career -
21-22 - 4.8/12.2 FG, 39.4 FG%, 3.1/8.4 3P, 36.8 3P%, 1.7/2.0 FT, 84.0 FT%, 3.2 Reb, 2.7 Ast, 14.4 Pts | 10.2 PER .085 WS/48
Career - 4.6/11.2 FG, 41.0 FG%, 3.1/8.0 3P, 39.0 3P%, 1.6/1.9 FT, 83.5 FT%, 2.8 Reb, 2.5 Ast, 13.9 Pts |10.0 PER .083 WS/48
Not a whole lot of difference there.

I think it’s simply the 3pt %…the difference between 39% and 36.8% may not seem like much, but the former translates to a 117 offensive rating and the latter is 110.4. That’s basically the difference between an elite offense and an average offense. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 2:59 pmAnyone who's disappointed in Shamet's production this year, well, that's pretty much what he is. Re: Suns News: Week 26 (4/11 - 4/17)
My seats average about $120 per seat in the regular season. Some games they are 225, other games they are 65. Just depends on the opponent.
The same seats in the players are 250/seat in round 1, 300 in round 2, 500 each in the conference finals, and each game gets more expensive in the Finals. Games 1/2 are 900 each, games 3/4 are 1500 each.
It is crazy.

If they don't understand the concept, maybe they should make a trip to the gas station.

Supply and demand really isn't that hard to figure out is it?Indy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 3:41 pmMy seats average about $120 per seat in the regular season. Some games they are 225, other games they are 65. Just depends on the opponent.

Other cities with more people in them sell their tickets much cheaper. Sarver is gouging the city, but there are enough people to keep paying it. Yeah, I get that a "good businessman" will charge as much as he absolutely can for his product. That doesn't mean it isn't crazy what they are charging. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 5:55 pmSupply and demand really isn't that hard to figure out is it?Indy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 3:41 pmMy seats average about $120 per seat in the regular season. Also, if you wanted to buy an extra seat to go along with your season ticket, it was nearly twice the price. So for my $250/seat in round 1, if I wanted to get 4 seats to a game instead of the 2 I already have, it would have cost me almost $800 on top of the $500 I already spent.

Maybe other teams have bigger arenas, or maybe other teams' fans know that their teams suck and aren't willing to pay a premium to watch them lose .Indy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 10:11 pmOther cities with more people in them sell their tickets much cheaper. If the suns are selling out, then that's the price. You can begrudge them for not being clearer on the policy, but just complaining about price seems kind of pointless.
Re: Suns News: Week 26 (4/11 - 4/17)
That's a reasonable take, in itself. But then a lot of these owners want public help to fund new arenas and renovations. You can't have it both ways. Either this is a competitive private business and you're on your own, or it's a partnership with the city where the city helps you out some but you also make your prices more reasonable in return.MightyMoog wrote: ↑Mon Apr 18, 2022 12:21 amMaybe other teams have bigger arenas, or maybe other teams' fans know that their teams suck and aren't willing to pay a premium to watch them lose .

Yeah it is pointless to complain about ticket prices. It is also pointless to discuss the Phoenix Suns or any sports team. But that is literally why this site exists.
