Vogel won't stay unemployed long.
He's a better-than-decent coach.
He was dealt an impossible hand by an inept management -- shackled with more prima donnas than an opera company.

Pretty cold to fire a coach 18 months after he leads you to a title. But oh well. Luck the Fakers!
As for Suns news, I wonder if there will be any articles about Iffe's strong final regular season game. Was pretty impressed with him in that last game in terms of showing that he can put up numbers when given minutes. Still clearly has a ways to go, though, in figuring out the NBA game.

Seeing the Lakers spend so much on their team and suck is almost as gratifying as the Suns kicking ass. Seeing the Lakers eliminated from the playoffs by the Suns and break their franchise record for wins on the same night was awesome!

Lotta good it does now when they spent 6 months stroking the Lakers, Ws, Cs, Grizz and every other team but ours.

There's a term for it. It's called "pandering".

And the OTHER THING!

Re: Suns News: Week 26 (4/11 - 4/17)
And the official "penalize him because he should have won it last year" movement has begun. Unfuckingbelievable.

Stuff like this doesn't bother me because it's ridiculous to expect everyone to have the same opinion.
Jenkins has done a great job with the Grizzlies this year. They improved from 38 to 56 wins and finished second in the league.
I think Monty is more deserving, but I can see why some people would put Jenkins ahead of him. It's closer than a lot of Suns fans want to admit.

Ya I don’t really have a problem with Jenkins getting votes, he did an incredible job. COTY is the weirdest award though because we really have no clue who’s doing the best job. It’s really just what team overachieved the most compared to preseason expectations. Or which team weathered injuries the best.
Re: Suns News: Week 26 (4/11 - 4/17)
The Suns were what? Something like 47-0 When leading going into the 4th? Which is an NBA record. Taylor had an impressive year but if this doesn't scream COY on top of a 64 win season I don't know what else they can do.
Monty wasn't good enough last year so he was better in all aspects this year leading the best team in the league. When you are above and beyond everyone else and you're making history doing it you deserve recognition. You can't sit here and say well we gave the award to the second best guy because we didn't expect him to be the second best guy.

I mean I don’t disagree, I think Monty is the coach of the year, but we’re all super biased. We obviously see the impact Monty has on this team every day and we just don’t follow the rest of the teams like that to see the impact other coaches are having.
As for Taylor, it’s not just that Memphis overachieved, but also how they did. One of the best indicators of a good coach imo is how hard the team plays, especially through adversity. That Memphis team plays incredibly hard and it didn’t seem to matter who was out, they just kept playing the same way and out working everyone. Honestly some similar qualities to what the suns showed.
I’d say again, coaching isn’t like playing. We see most of the impact players have on the game right in front of our face, most the impact the coaches have is behind closed doors or in private conversations. We essentially have to guess how good the coach did based on how the players play. So you can give it to the coach of the best team, certainly a fair decision. You can also give it to the team that overachieved the most. Makes sense, as that would be the coach that got the most out of their team. Of course you maybe just underrated the team from the beginning. Or you can come up with some other way…just don’t think it’s an easy award to get right.

This is kinda hilarious to be honest. We are so much better than everyone in the 4th Q. That feels like a great COTY stat.
Clippers and Memphis the other teams that get significantly better in the 4th…

That's a contender for the dumbest stat people will put value in.
If the games ended after 3 quarters, the Suns would've prepared to win the game after 3 quarters instead of 4.

The Suns ended up 47-0 when leading after 3 quarters, 17-16 when losing after 3 quarters, and 0-2 when tied after 3 quarters.
