Maybe we should pass to this Ayton guy.
Maybe if he was more aggressive and in better position he’d command them more. Ayton practically has to be bottle fed right now to go off.
Or hyped up by a teammate.

Ayton is a dependent offensive player…he’s not as dependent as other similar bigs(Rudy, Capela, etc.) but he still is. Every so often he flashes some independent skills, but it’s way too rare for me to say it’s part of his game at this point. Because of that it’s always going to be risky to max him and rely on him. How he plays will always be impacted by his teammates, opponents, and the scheme of both teams moreso than other less dependent players.

It would be fun to watch a best of five series of them. Honestly I’m not sure who wins. Not many teams could slow down 7SOL Suns. Defenses today defend pick and roll very well. I think Nash and JJ would go off to counter taking away the passing lane to STAT. It’s still wild they let JJ walk. He would have become the iso closer we needed when Nash was drained and could have held it down when Nash sat. Whatever the tax penalty was would have been worth it.

This current Suns team would beat the 04-05 suns team in 4-5 games. Easy.

I think our own Rankin originally did an article on this in the local paper and now the national guys have picked up on it. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some of it before tonight's game.

Like I've said before. Just wish it could happen if only for Ayton to learn something from Amare about aggressiveness.

04-05 have major holes at defence (Nash, Amare). They would play them just like the spurs of old, and we know the result.
The only way for our current team to lose is if Ayton AND Mikal play like puppies in the offensive side.
Is Amare more an enforcer than Giannis? We know DA plays to the level of competition. I could see him block Amare the way he blocked Giannis this year.

Amare would have no answer for Ayton.

Pat Bev still salty AF. He does make some good points about Ayton though.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Regarding Jackson Frank, I have a hard time trusting anybody with two first names or two last names but when they have their first name and last names reversed? Forget about it.

If the Warriors and Bucks have the "heart of a champion", what does Pat Beverley have? Heart of the play-in?

Wow, another player turned analyst who falls back on the "they haven't won before, so how can they ever win?" argument. How novel.

All the talk about 2004-05 vs 2021-22, let's just get a repeat of this classic Game 6 Suns win in Dallas.

There's no way that he has a personal vendetta against us.

I'd take it but I'd much prefer a regulation easy win. I already had my heart attack. Don't need another one.
