I feel similarly about the Pelicans being a tougher match up. So it seems this should be a 5 game series. But I can see Luka winning a game by himself (along with refs/Foster), and I can see them getting really hot from 3 and us not, resulting in another win for them. So a 6 game series? I don't know. Like you said, I don't want to jinx anything (because we all know what you write on a message board is just used to fuck with you by the universe).

I'll take a series win in 6 no questions asked right now.

I just hope to the high heavens that we feel better about our Suns during this series than we felt about them in the last one.

One poster even went as far to say that our team couldn't win the championship as currently constructed. I'm not going to out him though as that would be going TOO far.

You think Dallas will continue Willie's plan of hounding Paul full court?

Speaking of Boban, will he get some run to cover Ayton? I don't remember him getting any minutes in their last series.
Maybe, but the biggest reason that worked so well for the Pels was because the Suns didn't have Booker available. It's a bad tactic to pull one of their wings out to pressure 3/4 or full court on Paul because it'll just give more space to Ayton and the Suns shooters. I guess they could try it with Brunson or Dinwiddie, but they're not really known for being defensive pests like Alvarado.

I think Boban will only get real minutes if the Mavs' small ball is completely failing to win games and they're getting desperate. So if this series goes as most expect it will, maybe they try it in Game 3 or 4.

Is there a point guard in the league today who doesn't have some kind of connection to Chris Paul? Maybe Alvarado.

I really hope we get the first half of Game 2 version of Booker for some of this series. It really felt like he could've had 50+ that night.

It felt like he was going after Jordan's playoff record.

For that to happen he would have to be fully locked in

Actually, this would be the one series, where I could prefer to see him, of course not for Game 5 trough 7
