I mean Ayton asked out at the deadline to go to a team that would put him at the center of the offense to get the most money. That is a pretty big "internal thing."

Did he "ask out" as you say? I haven't seen it reported so clearly.

I read some reports today that said that. Was it KOC that said it on his podcast? I need to look it up.

The only person I heard report that he “asked out” was Flex.

Sorry, it was from FLEX! I don't follow him and have him muted, but saw someone else post it. Lowe did confirm on his podcast today that Ayton was being shopped, but I don't think he said why.

"Internally expressing a desire to play elsewhere" isn't saying a whole lot, IMO.

Internally as in the locker room with his teammates? I find that hard to believe.

His agent communicating with James Jones and the front office? OK, maybe.

Ayton to his buddies on XBOX live? Yeah, probably.

I would bet money on this one. I mean once we told him if he wants a max contract he has to go earn it, he and his agent were going to start saying this. He wants to be paid like a #1 option. He isn't even close. So it would help him (and his agent) to go to a team that might not be good, but could feature him as their #1.

I bet Sarver will wait until next summer to extend Booker, hoping that he won’t make All-NBA again next season, thus losing his supermax eligibility.

I'm going to read into this that Sarver is already trying to get him to take less than the super max.

If Ayton wants to leave, then ok. But the Suns have to get some size back in return.

I'm already hearing rumors that the Suns are not going to lock up Booker with a supermax extension on July 1. Another stupid move by Sarver.

I haven't seen that anywhere. And the Suns would be truly stupid if they chose not to supermax Booker.

What rumors? I wouldn’t get too worked up by something we really have no clue about. I’ll wait and see what actually happens before calling it a stupid move.

I just heard something about them not offering it to him right away (July 1), not that they won't at all (but you never know...). I think it's stupid to wait. Show him that it's not something you have to think about. And they better not wait until next offseason, hoping he'll lose his eligibility.

Don't tell me you're a Booker-stan too!

Haha, good point. I guess to me it comes across as something that’s already going to happen. I agree the suns probably shouldn’t screw around with Booker’s contract..I’ve just seen nothing to indicate they are.
