I was just thinking the same. Parsing out flex tweets is the bottom of the barrel.

I was thinking it might be tough to get the Knicks and Nets involved in a deal because they'd both want Mitchell. The Knicks are looking to dump Randle tho and if the Nets want to remain competitive, they may be interested in Randle if KD is moving out.

Suns get KD
Knicks get Mitchell
Jazz get Fournier, Shamet, Quickley, Grimes
Brooklyn gets Randle, Cam Johnson, Craig, Dario and Crowder

You can probably switch around some of the smaller contracts but that's a general idea, not including picks. Jazz want a bunch of picks (from the Knicks) plus young talent, Knicks keep Obi to stay on as starting PF while moving off Randle's deal and getting DM. BK gets Randle and Cam with the rest being ending contracts.

Brooklyn being interested in Randle seems strange, but maybe. It would make more sense if Barrett was the piece, but don’t think NY wants to move him.

I agree on Randle but can you imagine the reaction to the Nets getting 5 power forwards for Durant?

Ha, I was really just throwing the salaries in there to make it work. Could probably re-arrange some of the players to balance it out a bit. Plus, Dario's more of a 5, Cam's a 3, Crower's a 3/4.

If we can get KD without giving up Mikal, please put JJ directly into the GM Hall of Fame.

In Felix's defense, it was proposed by someone else, not him reaching out to get more air time.

I saw the sequence of events. I know it was proposed by someone else but then Flex went out of his way to sell himself to @UnpluggedDoug and the Unplugged Army whatever the hell that is.
Where did he sell himself to them? Idk who the Unplugged Army is either. It looked to me like Doug was sold immediately without even talking to Felix, at 3:39 pm. (Full disclosure: I have never liked Doug Franz' radio personality and thought he might have been the worst one on Phx radio waves that I knew of, so I'm surprised that he has more than a handful of loyal listeners).
Maybe I'm missing something. Seems pretty clear to me.

On July 13th, S Kent Brown says:
Hey
@UnpluggedDoug
you should have
@FlexFromJersey
on the podcast to talk the KD trade. He is legit and has been on this since May 16th.
Then on July 21st, FLEX says:
Can confirm both sides are in serious discussions to make this happen very soon👀 🤝
@UnpluggedDoug
and the Unplugged Army 🔥💯
As in, "Hey Doug, as Brown said, I know stuff. You should have me on!"
Did you miss where Doug Franz hours before Felix tweets out, Doug responds to Kent Brown and says, "I'm in"?

I'm trying to understand your understanding of the sequence of events and timeline.

As Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant's trade request approaches a fourth week, the Boston Celtics have emerged among teams engaged in talks on a possible deal, sources told ESPN.

The Celtics appear no closer to acquiring Durant than others in discussions with the Nets, but Boston's ability to include All-Star forward Jaylen Brown as a centerpiece in offers does help to make them formidable in pursuit, sources said.

🤔

What weird thing to drop so late at night.

I thought the Cs might've been a darkhorse for Mitchell, with Brown as bait, given the Ainge-Stevens connection.

Ainge has no problem trying to undermine the Suns footing in a deal to get KD, especially if it benefits the Celtics.

The optics aren't great if the Suns get KD for a bag of beans while the Celtics allegedly put Jaylen Brown on the table when this is eventually plays out.

IMO BKN wants this leaked to put pressure on us to include Mikal (or more) in our package. I don't know whether KD would play in Boston, but these alternative trade packages never seem to talk about that aspect. You can't just deal KD somewhere he hasn't consented to play.
