I know that’s how people are interpreting it, but not how I see it. Truth is, how many teams would start one of those 4 players right now? Sumner, Harris, O’Neale, Claxton. Maybe Claxton or O’Neale start for a few teams, but those are clear bench players. He’s not saying they shouldn’t be in the nba or something. But they clearly aren’t guys that teams are worried about. They are role players. He’s saying what everyone said about those LeBron Cavs teams. Ya I guess it’s different when the player himself says it, but we all know that lineup is garbage without KD. I wouldn’t say it, but I’m not going to criticize him for saying something I agree with.

I think that’s the point. He’s not leading them anywhere.

Yeah, I'm not saying it was a good thing, but he did get the front office's attention and was still able to lead his team to championships after that.

Agreed, specially since all of this is coming from frustration boiling since the offseason.

I think in the context of the entire article, the comments don't come across that bad.

He actually spends the majority of that article being very positive about the current situation.

He probably would legit not report to them. I don’t think Toronto I would be in any KD sweepstakes at this point. Their chance was last offseason.

My guess it it's just based on players available for trade. Which would be a bad bet.
