We're not just running it back. We're losing our starting PF. So we better still make some good moves before the season starts.

This feels so much like that offseason where McDonough was supposed to find a point guard, but instead just did nothing and got fired during training camp.
So it feels to you like Jones is going to get fired?

I hope it was mostly just the Sarver stuff keeping everyone down, combined with Jae and last years ending, but it just feels like there’s more. That not everyone is on the same page anymore. Hopefully we can figure it out.
DA did seem genuinely upset by the Sarver situation and for the people impacted, and I think he purposefully was keeping his answers short on that so that he didn't say too much. So hopefully that's mostly what it was with him. When Marc says he "still seems a little bitter" though, I wonder if he talked to him some more about that on the side as well or if he just got that vibe from him.

No, just the lack of activity from the GM feels similar.

I wonder what kind of different role Monty has in mind for Dario.
He does look slimmer, I wonder if we told him he won’t play C anymore, just the 4 and asked him to get more agile.
"Hey, Dario! Get more agile!" Is that something you tell somebody? :P

Media day is still going, but the feed cut after Ayton. ESPN+ was broadcasting it and they must have left after Ayton finished.

This does not look good, man. I hope I’m wrong, but this feels like it’s going to be a lost season.
Man, I haven't seen it but you guys are some REAL Debbie Downers!

Here’s Ayton’s opening response for those who didn’t get to see and want a taste of what we mean. He was like this the whole time.
"It was all done...I guess."

OK, see what you guys mean. He had better snap the F out of it for all the money we're paying him! Or get rid of his ass.

Good.
Book failed that interview badly. He just needed to say I was disappointed but I’m glad it’s behind us.

He basically said the Sarver, the man I know was not like that. He defended him with his silence. Real awkward

Well, he did get a Super Max contract from him. But yeah, he could get out of his own head and think about all the people obviously impacted by Sarver.

I sure hope it was just because of Sarver.

Ya striked me as a situation where Booker might still have a relationship with Sarver and was unwilling to throw it away.

I think it’s ok for him to say he never saw it, he probably never did. But you say it’s unacceptable and you think/speak to all the people who did see it. Ayton did it correctly. Book was stuck on, not the Sarver I know.

Maybe this is just our theme this year. This is pretty somber and serious as well:

He probably was up late playing NBA 2K23. He has to regain his legendary status after all!

Don’t hate them, but they should’ve just kept The Valley jerseys. Thank goodness for the Barkley throwbacks or I’d be pretty underwhelmed with our jerseys this year. Are we still getting that turquoise one? Did they change our purple/white ones? I’m honestly not sure what jerseys we have this year, besides the throwback and these black ones.
