The Saric stuff makes me wonder if we’ve found a trade for him as well. Either as part of a Crowder deal or separate. It gives me some hope that we’re actually looking at better players, like Barnes, Bogdon, etc.

Lee was drafted 38th by the Pistons two years ago and Arms played a year at Texas Tech and was just released by the Nuggets.

If there’s one thing we’re missing it’s more short guards.

Is this how the low the bar is now?
Jones and Vogel out, Lue or Lee in, draft Grant Nelson or Tyler Kolek.

Well, that settles it. All of our depth issues have been solved. You all were right, we had no reason to get up in Arms.

Saban had a decent rookie year, shot horribly last year, but this says he is a good playmaker.

On the Ayton thing, I kind of understood it like Jeremy did, that Ayton is saying / telling himself that he came out of this with what he wanted, and he wants to move on. I don’t really care tho ultimately if he wanted even more money or if he’s truly happy now. As long as he can put this and the game 7 snafu behind him and play hard without pouting, I really couldn’t care less whether he really wanted that 5 year with max kicker.
Same here, because it sounds exactly like what an agent would sell to a player after completely mishandling their situation.

It kind of feels like make-good deals. Both of these guys have ties to the Valley and I assume very little of the money is guaranteed (have those details been reported?).

Sigh. I miss the classic 90s era SwingMan. I was sad when he just dropped.

Of course, he only came in the big size.

Something for Fun:

Got re-engaged to my ex today, so in celebration, bets on. If we trade for a backup PG, name who (before the trade deadline.) If you are right, a $200 donation to a legit charity of your choice will be made to the first person that names the player. Must post in thread and message with your choice. Whoever is in my messages with a 'correct' name first gets that slot. (Note...your bank account is NOT a legit charity, :D.) Backup PG means they get the bench starting job over Payne. In event of any kind of dispute, it'll be put up the board to settle any grey areas.

I wonder what the stats are on divorced couples who remarry. Does the second marriage tend to work out, or not? Has anyone ever looked into that?

ETA: Found it! https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog ... each-other
Statistics vary about couples who get back together after they separate and divorce. According to the research, between 10-15% of couples reconcile after they separate. However, only about 6% of couples marry each other again after they divorce. Of those who remarry each other, about 30% go on to divorce each other a second time. Since the divorce rate for second marriages is over 60%, the lower rate suggests that the renewed marriage is stronger than it was before the divorce.
Looks like a good decision, VT. At least, based on the stats.
