Does he have any interest in being brought in? We haven’t exactly had a good track record over the past years finding our own players that wanted to return to the franchise. It was kind of telling how Amare signed a one day contract with the Knicks to retire there.

Maybe he quit over Kyrie's anti-semitic comments.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Amare holds some similar opinions. You know, "Black Jesus" and all that...

If we're going to hire an ex NBA player to coach Ayton, I would vote for Tim Duncan.

I’m sure he has issues with Sarver but he’s on the way out.

Nah. That was me that associated a black athlete with God.

Does Steve Nash being fired also mean his staff got let go? If so, any chance we can bring in Amare as an assistant to coach Ayton how to attack the rim on offense?
https://www.nba.com/nets/roster

They still list them at the bottom. But Amare isn't there. Was he to start the season?
I guess he left after the end of the playoffs last May. Do we have any interest in bringing him in?
Even if he were interested, I am not sure you can teach aggression and a dominant attitude. But if you could...

That's a pretty blatant carry tho.

I am a fan who tends to see darkness but hope for bright futures so I’m certainly hopeful that most problems can be attributed to Sarver and be solved by his removal. But some part of me isn’t convinced that that’s all it is; even if it is not everyone forgives. But I sure hope you are right and we can connect with some of our past players starting next year.

He went from a cool end of the first round story to incredibly unlikable really quick.

It was a textbook example of a discontinued dribble. He's hasn't got a leg to stand on.

After losing by 43 tonight San Antonio is 5-3 while giving up the most points in the league and having a scoring differential of -5.8, which is 4th worst in the league.

I guess I was wrong. Amare is one of the few (former) players to speak publicly about Kyrie and this situation.

https://sports.yahoo.com/former-nets-co ... 27104.html

Former Nets coach Amar'e Stoudemire on Kyrie Irving: 'You made a mistake, so apologize for it'
During an appearance on ESPN's "Get Up" on Wednesday, the former NBA All-Star who spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Nets said that Irving needs to apologize after sharing a documentary containing antisemitic conspiracy theories and falsehoods on Twitter.

“You have to give an apology because if you’re going to promote a documentary that has false allegations inside of it, and you may not understand that these allegations that’s inside the documentary are false, OK you made a mistake, right? So apologize for it."

“And so I think that’s the issue. By not apologizing for that, [that's] an issue the NBA’s going to probably take a look at.”

Stoudemire converted to Judaism in 2020 and has been granted Israeli citizenship, but had previously believed in the Black Hebrew Israelite movement that forms the basis of some of the statements Irving has been criticized for.
There's a source link to the bolded part in the article. I quickly skimmed it and didn't come across anything about him no longer believing in the "Black Hebrew Israelite movement", but whatever, the point is that he's saying Kyrie should stop being a prick.

Wasn't sure where to put this... is anybody interested in a 3 month access to league pass? If so please pm me.

I got this offer in my email inbox from running a fantasy league in yahoo, so I have a code that I can share. It does say "first come first serve" though so no guarantees.

Yep, and the point of my original post (besides the front office part) is that I’m worried that Monty will see the early season success and say, “We’re good, let’s not change anything or add any more new stuff.”

And then come playoff time…same results.
That's a legit concern, especially if there isn't a no-brainer type of trade like getting KD. Monty may not want to get rid of some of his guys for even a marginal upgrade.
Well that too. But I meant adding new stuff to the offense.
