Suns have been the shit end of reffing for years, can't say I'm surprised.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

It’s easy to complain about reffing in the moment and I’m definitely guilty of it, but this game in particular felt pretty bad. Grant was getting the 50/50 calls and Booker was not. Just kinda weird how that happens. I get the feeling refs don’t particularly care for him. I always wonder if refs(subconsciously) give players they like better whistles.

Yikes, that’s some really unfortunate bad calls in Portlands favor right in a row

I knew that was going to happen. Not that it matters now.

It should matter. They're still in town for tonight's game. Petition the league to play it over.

It'll never happen and has never happened. Plus, where do you start from? The Suns inbound with 24 left? I wish.

Did Bob Sarver show up for Halloween as a blind NBA ref?

He's probably the guy recording Jae while he's practicing.

It has happened before, but rarely.

You could start with the missed 3-second call, which is the first incorrect call/no-call in the last 2 minutes. Here's the link to the official report, with links to video clips: https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport. ... 0022200130
Johnson (POR) has a foot on the lane line for more than three seconds without imminently actively guarding an opponent.

[...]

Bridges (PHX) brings two hands to the ball and gathers it on his right foot. He then comes down on two feet for his first step and can choose either foot as his pivot foot. He establishes his left foot as his pivot by stepping with his right and then leaves the ground and releases his shot attempt.

[...]

Grant (POR) gathers the ball with one hand and then takes three steps before releasing the shot attempt.

I’m curious when it’s happened before? So we’d get a technical free throw at 13 seconds and the ball back with Portland needing to foul(assuming we hit the technical free throw). I like our chances

My Cam fears are back. I am praying it’s not his ACL or meniscus. He can’t stand up to the rigors of starting and playing PF nightly. Suns are kind of screwed if he misses extended time. You saw how bad Dario looked and you can’t start Okogie. We are in trouble.
Fuck.

Depends on if you believe Flex knows stuff. This is exactly what I was worried about.
Go Suns!

Well-executed last shot by Portland. He might have traveled, but he certainly got the shot off in less than a second.
I downloaded the video and it looks like it took him approximately 0.97 seconds to get the shot off.

The end of a game has been replayed at least once that I've found, but I thought it's happened more than that. But it was due to a scorekeeper's error:

Shaq was incorrectly fouled out for the Heat, and they replayed the game a couple months later despite the fact that Shaq was on the Suns by then!

Wow, I kinda remember that now, but I’m surprised they replayed it. Sounds like since it wasn’t a ref error they allowed it as it was probably a mistake by specific team employees. Ref errors must be considered part of the game. I remember when Harden made a basket that was never counted(I believe that’s what it was), but they didn’t replay that one.

Yeah, that might be the other one I was remembering. Silver said Harden's basket should have counted, but the reason he didn't let them replay it was because they had plenty of time (about 8 minutes plus two overtimes) to overcome the bad call.

Also forgot to mention DA...he looked great last night. Had a lot of bounce, looked fresh and was getting whatever he wanted offensively. The problem, as has been in the past, is that 12 of his 14 shots came in the 1st half. He was 10-14 for the game but we didn't go to him in the 2nd half. We have to work to keep him and Mikal involved. It's on them too, but Monty and the coaches have to keep reinforcing it.

Yes. Ayton had a very good game and needs to be more involved in second halves. It's been a pattern that's pretty easy to see.

That one was replayed because Atlanta protested the game and the protest was upheld by the league.

They're just not going to do that for a judgement call like traveling or three seconds. Miscounting the number of fouls on a player is considered correctable, so they just replayed the rest of the game after that point.

The top of mind one for me was way back in 92-93 when our then record setting 13 game win streak was snapped by San Antonio who had 6 players on the court during the waning seconds of a game that we lost in overtime, and no replay was granted.
