Game Day: Warriors (6-8) @ Suns (8-5), Wed 11/16/22

Time: 8:00 pm AZ (7:00 pm PT/10:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ, ESPN

Just what the doctor ordered. We finally play an easy team and return to the home confines of the Footprint Center. The lowly Warriors haven’t won on the road all season long. Between that and our 6-1 home record, it’s a recipe for an easy victory. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Klay Thompson crying again at the end of this one.

Are they doing the indigenous thing for this game?

I wish we knew something about Chris Paul's heel. Maybe he'll suit up for this one and I like the Suns chances quite a bit more if he plays. (bold take..)

Otherwise, I think the Warriors will play well enough to win this game. They were embarrassed in the first matchup and finally sending Wiseman to the G-League removes some rotation burden for Kerr. Their slow start leads me to believe we'll see less line up experimentation by him in this one.

I feel like we low-key need this win. Team hasn't looked very good for the past week. We really miss Chris Paul.

We miss Paul and CamJ. Getting Shamet back wouldn't hurt (tho maybe it could). Let's see if DWJ's breakout game carries over. Sometimes guys break out because they're not on the scouting report and you can catch teams off guard. Ws will prob have him on the radar now. Need another strong game from Lee.

Remember when Lacob said the Ws were "light years" ahead of everyone else? Well Wiseman's in the GLeague and Kuminga hasn't shaken up the league either. So teams miss on draft picks. Not an excuse for us, but it's hard to winning teams to draft young guys and develop/work them into a winning situation.

As much as we wish for more from Ayton, the Warriors have to be aching about having had the #2 overall pick and whiffing that badly by taking Wiseman. Picked after him in that 1st round: LaMelo Ball, Patrick Williams, Obi Toppin, Tyrese Halliburton, Cole Anthony, Saddiq Bey, Precious Achiuwa, Tyrese Maxey, Immanuel Quickley, Desmond Bane, and others. Strong draft, but they seem to have gotten a bust. Ayton doesn't dunk the ball ferociously and doesn't play with enough juice or whatever, but you can actually play the guy and he'll mostly get you 16 and 8 or whatever numbers, with good shooting percentage and decent defense. Wiseman, you can't even have him out there; he kills them.

Toppin would've been a monster in GS.

I did really enjoy your original post and game description, especially "I wouldn’t be surprised to see Klay Thompson crying again at the end of this one."

He says that about all of his injuries. It’s your own fault for believing him.

Should I watch this game? What's everyone's feel about how this is going to go tonight? Is the hook, the new uniforms tonight?

I feel like we need to not let the Warriors win more than we need to win. Bury them while they're down, don't give them hope. Make them fall to 0-8 on the road.

I can’t be the only one who keeps thinking the Suns are the team wearing black.
