Ok, I went and pulled the stats of the 6 guys we’ve spent the most time discussing/being linked to for a Crowder trade. These are all big wings, so I didn’t include the guards. Who should we go after? All stats are per 100 possessions.

Harrison Barnes - 19.8 pts, 8.6 reb, 3.0 ast, 1.1 stl, .3 blk, 1.8 TO. 47/29/86 shooting on 5.2 3pta and 7.1 fta. TS is .618. 1 year 18.3 million left on his deal.

Bojan Bogdonavic- 31.1 pts, 5.9 reb, 3.7 ast, .7 stl, .0 blk, 3.2 TO. 50/40/88 shooting on 9.0 3pta and 7.7 fta. TS is .646. He’s signed at 19.3 and 20 million this year and next. 3rd year is 19 mil but only guaranteed for 2.

John Collins - 18.3 pts, 10.7 reb, 1.8 ast, 1.2 stl, 1.9 blk, 2.5 TO. 48/24/93 shooting on 4.9 3pta and 3.5 fta. TS is .571. Signed for 4 years and 102 million. 4th year is PO.

Tobias Harris - 22.5 pts, 8.9 reb, 3.9 ast, 2.0 stl, .7 blk, 1.8 TO. 46/37/77 shooting on 7.7 3pta and 2.8 fta. TS is .557. 37.6 million this year and 39.3 next year.

Gordon Hayward - 24.3 pts, 6.4 reb, 6.5 ast, 1.0 stl, .4 blk, 3.8 TO. 45/38/77 shooting on 5.7 3pta and 5.8 fta. TS is .543. 30.1 million this year, 31.5 next.

Kyle Kuzma - 28.2 pts, 11.5 reb, 4.6 ast, .5 stl, .6 blk, 3.7 TO. 46/30/73 shooting on 10.3 3pta and 5.5 fta. TS is .550. 13 million this year, 13 million PO next year.

I did my own little subjective/objective rating of them from 1-3 in 8 different categories: Scoring, passing, rebounding, getting to the line, 3pt shooting, perimeter defense, rim protection, and contract. 1 was best, 3 was worst.

Kyle Kuzma came in 1st with 13, then…
Barnes - 15
Bojan/Hayward - 16
Harris - 18
Collins - 20

So I guess that’s my order of preference: Kuzma, Barnes, Bojan, Hayward, Harris, Collins.

Nice work Split!
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Harris would be a sneaky good add. Not sure why Philly wants to trade him but he’s smart enough to play in the .5. He’s also tough. Not sure what a realistic package would be. I know that JJ doesn’t like to move future draft picks if he can help it.

I’d also like the Eric Gordon KJ Martin package. That solves more than one need.

I think for Harris it’d mostly be taking on the contract for expirings and giving them Crowder. Would Crowder/Saric/Shamet be enough? Saves them just under 10 million this year and about 30 million next year. Though I assume they’d sign Crowder to an extension. Though does Crowder/Tucker even really work? Think you’d want one of those guys to be more of a real shooter.

FWIW, KJ Martin would be 21.1 pts, 9.3 reb, 2.8 ast, .9 stl, 1.1 blk, 2.2 TO. 54/33/67 shooting on 6.1 3pta and 4.4 fta. TS% is .622 and he’s under contract this year for 1.8 million and 1.9 million next year. He’s a steal contract wise.

There were rumors yesterday via Eric Pincus that the Warriors were interested in Crowder. If they wanted to give us Kuminga, I'd do that in a heartbeat, but I suspect James Jones would not. I'm still a believer in Kuminga despite his struggles this season.

I would too..I’d do it for Moody as well. Nothing else they have really interests me or would be available. I’m sure we could find someone who’d easily take Kuminga or Moody for a piece JJ would like.

I have watched some of the Warriors games this year, and I listened to Zach Lowe talking about them recently. I think he nails it; they have a bench unit where the pieces don't fit very well and the youngs aren't quite ready for heavy minutes. They signed JaMychal Green but it's hard to play all of Kuminga-Green-Wiseman as your bench frontcourt because they are all more of 4/5 men and no real SF. And their bench guards like Moody haven't played well at all, so there's nobody to get the ball to the bench bigs. So all of them have looked really unimpressive. Kuminga shows these flashes but he also makes some dumb decisions and bad plays to where Coach Kerr yanks him. I personally think he's talented and an intriguing young prospect, but for a team defending a title it's hard to put Kuminga in a position to grow and succeed and make those mistakes he needs to make.

Yeah, idk. I think Kuminga here would be just like Jalen Smith.

Kuminga looked like young Paul George to me last season (with better size and a worse shot). He’s a significantly better prospect than Jalen Smith, you just have to live with some mistakes. I think he’ll end up as a really good pro.

Mori, the one thing you missed about the Warriors bench is Jordan Poole making the Deandre Ayton contract look good. That’s been killing them.

That's true; I didn't mention him. Poole has had a rough season. Maybe oversimplifying, but it seems to me the most likely explanation is that it is bad to have the team's emotional leader punch you in the face right as the season is getting started? With very little repercussion? At some point it's on Poole to perform, but I suspect that whole incident made him feel ostracized from the veteran core of the team.

This article about Landry Shamet made me feel bad for him. Concussions are a big deal. I hope he'll be able to recover and come back 100%.

Not gonna lie
I might not be alone here but still seems crazy to type.....
I'm happy we're not 16 - 2

Imagine our first 20 games having us back in any franchise/ league record type convos
Geeez, that would be a mental drain lol

Once we seeing positives from DA, Mikal and Cam along with the bench unit. I'm kool for now 💪🏾✌🏾

^ Yeah I kind of agree with this, bajan. I am never rooting for us to lose, and it would be nice to be 16-2 of course. But IMO our stellar record last year may have obscured a need for us to work harder or get better. At least having a few losses and bumps will show us that we shouldn't get complacent. I want to see guys like Bridges and Ayton keep working to improve rather than assuming we're collectively good enough.

Yea if we were 16-2 it wouldn't mean much IMO. It would just mean we're good and have the continuity to start the regular season strong. That might've been the case if CP and CamJ were healthy and playing. But like last year, padding your record with wins is usually a setup for disappointment unless you're truly dominant - like the Ws a few years ago. We knew the Suns had shortcomings last season even with those regular season wins. It's kind of like the empty-calorie stats player.

I really think we'll be better off in the long run with Payne, Mikal and DA getting some more opportunities to play bigger roles now and leaning less on CP while guys like DWJ, DLee, Okogie get legit minutes they wouldn't normally see with a healthy roster. Monty knows more about his team and his players under these circumstances.

This, of course, is the same Odom was hospitalized in 2015 after being discovered unconscious at the Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Nevada. Odom, who binged on cocaine in the days prior to his medical emergency, suffered kidney failure, several heart attacks, and 12 strokes. He became comatose and was placed on life support in a hospital in Las Vegas before regaining consciousness. Fortunately, he recovered, but his judgment on social issues is perhaps questionable, at best ...

And even the Warriors won 73 games and failed to win a title.

Was reading an article about the Bulls tanking and started wondering if Derozan would be available and then this popped up…I wouldn’t give up 3 1sts for Derozan, but would you send Crowder/Saric/Shamet and 2 1sts for him? Maybe Jae goes somewhere else and adds another pick to Chicago?
If they (correctly) wanted to prioritize the future, the Bulls could trade DeRozan to a playoff team that’d absolutely love to fold an unstoppable late-game shot creator into its arsenal. Would the Suns offer a few expiring contracts and (up to) three first-round picks, as a contender that’s trying to salvage the back end of Chris Paul’s prime? Their defense would be an issue and the offensive fit isn’t obvious on paper. Sure. But good luck stopping Paul, Devin Booker, DeRozan, Mikal Bridges, and Deandre Ayton at the same time. There’d be enough shooting and playmaking here to create multiple headaches on every play.
