Game Day: Pistons (5-15) @ Suns (11-6), Fri 11/25/22

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:00 pm AZ (6:00 pm PT/9:00 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: BSAZ, NBALP

The Suns continue their home stand with rare back to back home games against the Pistons and Jazz. The Pistons hold the worst record in the East but have shown recent signs of life in winning their last two road games against the Nuggets and Jazz.

For some reason, the Suns struggle against the Pistons.

No Cade…No Bey either I think. They’ve been starting Bagley at the 5. We should have no problem with them…should being the key word.

Ivey's a tough guard and Bojan's been lighting it up. Other than that, there aren't a lot of consistent threats. Burks can shoot it, Duren is a physical athletic big who can go for a double double and Knox can be a threat in transition.

Bey is supposedly on the block and I've liked him for a while as a 3/4 but doubt we can make something worth their while unless it's a 3team deal. Plus he's up for an extension soon.

I wonder why Bey is on the block? Seems like he’d be someone they’d want to keep around with Cade/Ivey/Duren

I think he's got that Crowder irrational confidence on offense.

Saw that and didn't understand either. He was kind of a steal for where they picked him and what production they've got from him. I mean extending Bogdanovich but not Bey doesn't make much sense to me. If they trade him I don't really understand their rebuild. You can't just restock your entire team year after year with 19 year olds and expect to keep improving. You reach a certain plateau of success. That's why I still don't completely understand the Thunder rebuild. You can't turn over 5 or six young guys a year with 5 or 6 more young guys replacing them. Gotta mix in some winning experience in there.

Will be watching Ivey for sure. I'm a huge Purdue fan and went to several games last year and was fortunate to see him play in person. He's got the talent and the drive to be a star. Hopefully injuries don't derail that progress. Seems guys bodies aren't ready for the rigors of the NBA schedule when they come out real early. Cunningham has suffered a lengthy injury for the 2nd year in a row.

Pistons? Best young team in the NBA. Rising stars in the East! Cade? Rightful RotY, future Hall-of-Famer? Ivey? He's POISON to the Suns. Bey? Even better than Ru-bae-o.

The Suns stand NO CHANCE against the Pistons. We are 100% going to lose this game.

I understand the Pistons listening to offers for Bey. He is a shooter that doesn't shoot efficiently. He has the body to play the modern era small ball 4, but he doesn't rebound. He was a high percentage guy in college, but so far, it hasn't translated to the pros.

So yeah, he is productive, but I am sure they're getting tired of the 4-19, 6-18 shooting performances. He is down to 29% shooting from 3 for the season.

We could offer…I don’t think there’s much of a chance of them accepting.

Knowing our luck, the chances of Bojan destroying us tonight are high.

I guess it's my perception.

No, I think before that you are accurate. In fact, I might have read we had a long losing streak before the three game winning streak.
