I don’t understand jumping to conclusions before we have any information. No one knows…I’ll wait until a more official report comes out. That Moore dude could have just watched the Twitter sports doctor and went with it for all we know. If the information isn’t coming from team medical personnel, it’s useless.

I hear ya… but as someone who’s dealt with their rash of ankle issues over my life, an ankle bending at that degree is never good… tons of ligaments in there that can get tweaked too. If he’s rolling his ankle on his own, he could have weakened the ligaments that keep the foot stabilized in a more normal position verses just turning in. I had to have my left ankle ligament re-stabilized to fix it and was a 6 week recovery.

I’m not saying it means he’s fine…just that we don’t actually know. And everyone is different and every ankle sprain is different. You can’t use your experience to determine KD’s. I’ve also rolled my ankle many times in my life and I’ve never once needed to have any sort of recovery.

But neither of us are Kevin Durant. I’ve even seen two different so called experts on Twitter come to two very different conclusions. Truth is unless we’re the ones doing the imaging or physical evaluation of KD’s ankle, we don’t know. That’s all I’m saying.

I'm just ready for him to miss the rest of the regular season. Maybe 3-4 weeks of rest/treatment and 2 weeks of "ramp up". Worst case is missing the first round so hopefully it won't come to that.

That would be a pretty bad worst case - it may mean the Suns missing the second round.

I've definitely had to recover from a rolled ankle.

Or steamrolling the league with what we've got and getting even more powerful in the playoffs.

The thing about finishing his workout, and especially with ankles, is that players can usually walk/run a bit longer on it and it'll swell up later when they cool down. Some players/trainers even tie their sneakers tighter after a roll to stabilize it and keep the swelling down and play thru it.

All we can do now is sit back and wait patiently... Yeah, right!

Maybe when we get official word on the injury we can make a new thread for it? Seems thread-worthy.

I'm trying to remain optimistic but I don't see us steamrolling the league with what we've got. Our starting lineup minus KD is now weaker than last season, and we all know how that ended. We obviously don't know the extent of the injury at the moment but if it sidelines KD into the post season i think we're probably toast in the first/second round.

I have no idea who Greg Moore is, safe to assume he’s known to be full of shit?
He’s a total loser on AZCentral that asks suns players annoying questions and is known for it. They dismiss him with “next question” fairly frequently
He's still getting paid by the Arizona Republic. It's not like he's writing for TMZ or friends with Flex. He's a reputable beat writer, regardless of if people like him or not.
He's not a beat writer. He's a columnist. And he's trash.

I was simply saying he's employed by the Arizona Republic. Not the quality of his reporting or writing. If he's off base here, they probably should move on from him because it sounds like someone hunting for clicks.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton
