Figured we could use a general Suns News Thread for stories not related to the Clips/playoffs.

This one broke today. The Trevor Booth thread outlines some pieces in the article since it's behind a paywall.

I'm assuming when you have thousands of employees, you're going to run into situations because people are going to people. I can go to Target to get some groceries and deodorant and encounter 2 or 3 people sometimes that make me or my wife uncomfortable. I'm not excusing anything but unless these issues occurred, were brought to HR and upper management and nothing was ever done about it, I'm not sure how you can hold Ishbia to the fire after the fact. I need to read the article.

I’m glad as anyone that Sarver is gone because he was a shit owner from a basketball perspective. But what brought him down was borderline bogus. Did he do despicable things, yes! But so do all the other owners.

You don’t make a Billion dollars by being fair or likeable. All the Uber rich are classist, sexist and racist. Sooner you accept it, the sooner you can come to peace with your own life.

Does anyone have a Bloomberg account? Pretty hard paywall. None of my paywall workaround tools are working.

For some reason if I click on the Twitter link that Mori posted in the Sarver is Gone thread, I can read the full article (it says it was gifted to me by a subscriber). But if I try and copy and paste the link, it won't let me.

That worked!

It reads kind of like Wall Street. Cocaine usage, competitive environment. Some issues people have had but maybe never formally filed complaints about until now / the article.

It really reads like a hit piece. It's weird. Dan Gilbert probably paid for all of it lol.

Robert Sarver would’ve gotten away with a lot more if he didn’t penny pinch for most of his ownership period. Take Mark Cuban, for example.

I assumed the NBA would have done a better job vetting a new owner than this. Kind of disappointed. I know he's not named specifically but it's his company. Can't go from one owner to another with similar issues but here we are.

I don't know about all that... No one becomes a billionaire while everything around them is rainbows and unicorns.

He has to keep Isaiah Thomas away from the organization though. No one has the tolerance for that right now and they possibly won't ever will in the future.

And as stated, none of it actually involves Ishbia, middle management fuckbois will always be around until they get caught. No matter what business you're in.
