Is Kareem the pro athlete with the best movie career? I think his performances in those movies are great. Was any athlete better?
Depends on if you consider Arnold a real athlete (pro-body building way before acting.) He really learned the craft though.

Jim Brown?

Carl Weathers is a legit actor and was an NFL player for a while.

The Rock of course was famously a Miami football player.

Vinne Jones was a real soccer player before becoming an actor in Guy Ritchie films (plus others obv.)

Jason Lee was a professional skateboarder.
Jason Lee... Mallrats will forever be one of my all time favorites :)

Yea, just days before the season starts seems odd… wonder if it’s health related.

Very true…. His greatest performance was when he fought the glove onto his hand in the courtroom.

I got sort of interested in seeing what his TV/Movie career looked like and hit up his IMDB - almost unbelievable, from the trivia section of his page:

"Was Ahmad Rashad's best man at his 1985 wedding to Phylicia Rashad. Bill Cosby walked her down the aisle at the ceremony."

Yikes?

Chuck Connors was probably the most successful pro athlete turned actor (mostly on TV)

Johnny Weissmuller was most likely the most successful high profile athlete turned actor (as an amateur in the Olympics)

If we’re going back that far, Steve Reeves was also a top body builder.

I absolutely think we'll find out Green's level this season. He's a SG who's never played with a real PG. Maybe down the line he can develop his PG skills and play like Booker does now, but he's gotta focus on his best talents at his optimal position now.
