I do kinda wonder if KD just won’t be able to create his own shot at an elite level anymore. Which normally shouldn’t be a problem with Beal and Book. Let’s find a way to make him the deadliest off ball player in the game. He’s already one of the best ever
Please tell me he's going to age better than Chris Paul.

Please tell me it was worth trading my favorite player😭😭😭

Kevin Wayne Durant, you sir, are washed.
Relax.

18/10/3 with a block. That's far from washed.
Not for KD. And 31.8% shooting?
It is possible to have an off night and not be washed.

But only one loss from the equal worst record 😬

Ginkle really shut them down when it looked like they had a chance to get back in it.

Certainly. But those stats are not "far from washed" for a player of KD's caliber.

All those missed 3s from Chris Paul at the end. Glad I don’t have to see that shit anymore, yuck.

(Charles Barkley Ginobili voice) OKOGIE!!!

Nice to get a win. Ton of TOs, team didn't look like they knew how to play together yet. KD and Eric Gordon struggled most of the game. But a win's a win. Book was awesome, and Okogie was incredible; he was just everywhere. Refs made a lot of shitty questionable calls, but we managed to overcome it. CP3 had a nice night but wasn't exactly a difference-maker. Nurkic had a really nice game, 14 points and 14 boards along with 3 assists and some really savvy screens and plays. I didn't miss you-know-who at all tonight.

SUNS WIN!!!

Oh, I truly did!!

Those moments with the all bench lineup, and that awful third quarter kept me thinking: “Man, we really need Bradley Beal out there right now”

They looked rusty alright. Lots of turnovers. I don’t remember Dario being such a defensive juggernaut. Durant is washed up because he didn’t shoot well in one game? Pfft. And then when he scores 35 the next game what do we say? The Suns have their work cut out for them. They aren’t quite a well oiled machine yet. They did get the win in San Fran, which isn’t easy to do. Keep it up.

That's a grab by Booker? GTFO. Have you been watching this game Stan?
Right? The Warriors had been grabbing and holding all night long.

Yes sir Mfers!!! Tough, scrappy win with a lot of improvement in us. Book was amazing and Nurkic and Olivier played great supporting roles. Hope that kind of shooting isn’t the norm for KD, even if his length on D caused the Warriors some issues.
I think that was on KD. He was forcing up shots even though he was well covered. If the refs aren’t going to call fouls when he’s shooting and getting manhandled then he’ll just need to pass to the open man.

at first, what stood out to me is what hasn't changed

CP3 making smart decisions and getting his assists but, like last year, shooting poorly in the first half and the defense cheating off him in the 4th because he's not his old clutch self anymore

Saric contributing but detracting because he still can't mix it up with the big boys because he can't jump

Booker playing great but getting over exuberant late in the 4th playing hero ball leading to 2 crunch-time turnovers
BUT THEN
the adjustment i've been waiting for, for 6 years
him drawing the defense and dishing for our last 8 points!

i pray the new coach has instilled that in him
we've got 3 superstars
and probably the best supporting cast we've had for decades

another concern lingering from last season -- Durant playing in only one of 2 modes in crunch-time
1. taking charge or 2. standing around while Booker takes charge

Durant's other triple superstar teams failed because of that

superstars taking turns means the defense only has to stop one superstar (instead of guarding all 3 simultaneously)

Okogie was a badass. He seems to be cementing his spot as the fifth starter with his play. Good for him.

Nurkic 14 pts, 14 reb, 3 ast
Booker 32 pts, 6 reb, 8 ast.
Durant 18 pts, 10 reb, 3 ast
