They can’t shoot, but they do limit opponent 3s pretty well. With Beal back we should get some looks though. Problem is AD and LeBron going to the rim…how do we stop that?

Perfect ending for the league and the Cup. It was probably most important for LBJ to win it all and get MVP.

The Lakers are tough right now. It's still early so need to see how they maintain but they scare me a bit.
The refs should get 500 grand too for officiating it in their favor.

The pacers got essentially the same number of free throws…I’m not sure it was a lopsided game, just a lot of whistles both directions.

Like I said, felt lopsided to me. Could be my Laker-hater glasses though. I thought that clear path foul call to end the first half was ridiculous compared to the one Booker didn't get.

Well that comes from the rule book…no transition take fouls in final 2 minutes or it probably would’ve been one

All-NBA In-Season Tournament team? That's a bit much, don't you think? I mean, fine, award an MVP from the game itself, but it is so few games, I don't see why you'd pick All-NBA teams for it.

Don't worry, now that the Lakers won the tourney, it's been ligitimized.

Because that’s what you do if you want something to be deemed important. It creates talking points. Creates data to look back on. Adds meaning.

I know a lot of you didn’t buy in, but the nba was clearly going to try and sell this as much as they can.

And folks this is why we didn’t want to win the IST before the real thing, just look at the comments on this:

6 win winter banner is fucking stupid. NBA is making them hang that, guarantee it. NBA will do anything to legitimize it's still tournament.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

The anger this thing is eliciting in some people is bizarre.

I don't mind the tourny.... but the levels to which they're trying to prop up the value of it is absolutely going to kill it. We don't need All-Tourney Teams, banners or some ginormous trophy (that thing looked as big as the championship trophy... it should be palm sized). I'm sure we're going to hear about rings at some point.

It's already crazy that they all get an additional 500 grand each on top of their already enormous salaries.

They need to incentivize this for the fans if they want us to get excited about it. I could careless that the players made money.

Just hate the silly constant hype for something that is meaningless. NBA and ESPN both pushing this thing like it's the NBA finals. It's gross.

It's like hanging James Harden if James Harden were a banner.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

Give that $500,000 to me and I'll be incentivized.

Wasn't it 7 wins?

I'm not angry at the IST; I enjoyed watching the games. But I think it's being overblown a bit by the league and its associated media. There's no need for an All-IST Team, nor a banner. I get that the league wants to tout the success of the IST and wants it to matter, but overhyping it kind of makes it feel lame and also cheapens the real title at the end of the season.
