Does Beal have a disc issue or something?
Who knows at this point. I heard he was a bit injury prone before we got him. I thought that was an exaggeration. But I mean, it is what it is. It's not his fault.
It's not like he was out doing bunny hop's on a 20" BMX.

Another thread got me thinking…we basically made 3 massive trades since a year ago…how would you rate them on importance?

Mikal/Cam for KD
CP3 for Beal
Ayton for Nurkic/Allen

I think they are in order for me. The other stuff doesn’t even happen without the KD trade, but that trade actually gave Booker a running mate good enough to win a title with.

After that I think the CP3 to Beal move is a clear upgrade(just maybe not in a scenario where Beal is hurt and Booker misses time and we need someone to keep everyone in their spots). I won’t go into depth about the Ayton trade here, but I do think that’s the one that didn’t upgrade the talent…just rearranged the roster to be able to play a certain way and add depth.

Another thing I looked at this morning…only 3 guys have started every game for us…KD, Nurkiv, and Grayson Allen. Is he the frontrunner for the 5th starter when we’re healthy?

Nurkic is approaching his quota of games played for a season, isn't he? :P

So 3 weeks then probably a week or two of ramp up. Could we finally see the big 3 make their debut on Christmas? 👀 I think it’ll probably little earlier than the Christmas game but probably not far off.

I will say I strained my low back lifting something a month or so ago…it hurt for a few days then started to go away. I worked out and it came right back. Went to a chiropractor for the first time and it got better for a couple weeks and then I mistakenly chased my nieces around on a playground and it came right back.

Muscles can take time to heal and a lot of daily actions don’t put a lot of stress on them. Playing basketball definitely would.

Glad they're finally letting him fully recover before trying to bring him back. But this is looking more and more like Brooklyn 2.0.

That’s a very low bar to cross…those 3 only played 16 games together…of course we are at 0 and will be until mid-December at the earliest.

But also I’ll take it tbh…that nets team was so much better than anyone else that year when they all played. Just need those 16 games played together to be in the playoffs…4 sweeps baby!

I guess he came back more than one day too early. :)

Wow... why on earth can't we have good things? Always some stupid injury stays between us and ultimate happiness. After all the Manning's, Penny's, JJ's, Amare's etc. of the world I truly believed this would be our season, but I already lost my hopes. Sorry but I don't believe that Beal, Book and KD can stay healthy together for a deep deep playoff run

It doesn’t feel that way…but we might get lucky. Or maybe Book/KD will be good enough that it doesn’t matter.

Should I just add 11 to the tally? :P

Note to Marty: I am going to update the tally by one right now. 0-12. We have played 11 games so far. Tonight will be the twelfth. Please direct any questions to the Smooth Brain hotline.

If I had to choose, obviously it would be Book over Beal. So at least there's that.

Also, I'd rather have Beal out now and ready for the playoffs than Paul playing now and out for the playoffs.

So far, Backcourt 2000 was healthier and more successful than Backcourt 2024.
