I mean, it's a funny video, and yeah the NBA players do travel and don't get called for it enough. But I think the reason casual fans don't like the NBA as much as, say, the NFL, is that the games don't really matter. With 82 games you can just miss a game, or 2, or 10, and it doesn't really mean much. In NCAA hoops, almost every game matters. In the NFL, every game matters. If games don't matter, you lose fans.

I agree…cutting games would probably help…but they won’t do that

As an NBA fan, I don’t want that though. And baseball has double that!

Actually you guys could be on to something…. Cut all the leagues (NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA) back but have them work out deals where each one of them has 3 months of the year. Honestly if players knew they only had to play 3 months of the year, and those are the 3 months they can focus on playing hard while the remainder of the year they could just be working on strength and conditioning to keep them in prime health for the season. No more load management and fans would be far more vested into games because they’ll all matter.

Then if they could work out shared venues…. The employees would be employed year round at the facility, not to mention if they played all sports on football stadium sized arenas you’d probably offset ticket sales from the smaller venue.

Finally, the Super Bowl winner, Stanley Cup winner, World Series winner and NBA Champ face off against each other in some sort of “Can your beer do this?” sport.

Football on ice skates with sticks in one semifinal, Baseketball in the other.

There will be an nba player soon that has a yearly salary that is higher…won’t have the years obviously, but the numbers are getting crazy
