The Phoenix Suns are spiraling downward as one of the biggest disappointments over the first third of the NBA season.

Star guard Devin Booker can feel the urgency and put out the "It's time to pick it up" message on Thursday, one day before the Suns visit the Sacramento Kings.

Phoenix has dropped seven of its past 10 games and allowed a 16-point lead to slip away Tuesday night before losing 109-104 at Portland. The lowly Trail Blazers snapped a seven-game losing streak with the comeback win.

I mean, based on recent performance, we're probably going to get absolutely stomped here, right? I guess if both KD and Book go off for 40+ we'll be in it, but otherwise we probably can't stop the Kings' offense. I think we're in for a rough stretch of games.

I don't believe this game will be close. I think the Kings like everyone else lately are just gonna bomb on us from 3 and crush the offensive boards. We lose by 20.

There hasn’t been anything lately to indicate that this team has any chance against a playoff-caliber opponent, but I hope you’re right.
