Clips up by 30. Is this the game that gets Vogel fired?
I’m ready for it, everyone seems mixed on it but idc. Let’s roll with Booker’s boy Kevin Young. He wanted him be coach. Fuck it. Ride and die time.
Now you’re scaring me Wally…isn’t that supposed to be “ride or die”? :?
Nope, cuz Kevin young Sucks lol 😭

I don’t think we iso as much as people think. We do dribble too much and take too long to get into our offense. We also pump fake open 3s too much and drive into nothing…CP3 isn’t helping that though…he also pump faked open 3s all the time.

The offenses problem is passing up open 3s for contested 2s, it's too slow to set up the offense allowing easy doubling of the ball handler, and the lack of imagination. It's the same 3 fuckin plays over and over again.

I'm so out on everything this team is now, the initial super team excitement is so far gone, I'd rather blow it up and cash out on Booker and his dumb headband and try to recoup some of the losses from trading for KD.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

You just know they're going to fire Vogel and replace him with Young, which will make "36" happy ... and we'll go on a 3-game winning streak since they'll play happier and harder, but then it'll set in that he's no better. And we'll stay stuck at around .500 the rest of the year.

Kevin Young isn't going to do anything to help this team, he's supposed to be some offensive smart guy, why do they look like dog water most of the the time on that end?

Go get me a 3 chucking weirdo like someone from Boston or Sacramentos staff.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

I guess the most optimistic take would be that Young has this amazing offense in his pocket, but Vogel is stifling it and ignoring Young and ruining everything. I think that's unlikely, but I guess it could be true. Firing Vogel would be the only way to find out.

As much as I complain about our ISO offense, I'm just really disappointed in the defensive end. Vogel was supposed to be a defensive wizard of a coach. I get that we signed a bunch of players who are more offensive than defensive, so maybe that makes it hard for Vogel to implement the defensive schemes he wants. But shouldn't he be getting more out of what we have? Shouldn't he be embracing guys like Okogie, Goodwin, KBD who play strong defense? Why are we dismal at basic defensive things like guarding the 3-point line if Vogel is so savvy about defense?

Well, Ishbia and Jones could also try, like, talking to them and stuff.

Unfortunately the way this team has been assembled I don’t see a path towards retooling without trading Book.

I’m really disappointed in him this year. It’s clear he’s not a leader and probably never will be that type. He needs a #1 next to him, and we got KD- another guy similar to Book.

This team needs dogs. There’s too many pussies and zero personality to this squad

It kind of reminds me of when the Suns hired Terry Porter and tried to change their whole identity. Those Suns weren't fun to watch either.
The big difference is that they swapped out all the old players this time.

I still don’t think a pg is the issue. Offense will be fine…though they need to figure out the 4thQ . They do need to shoot more 3s. I’m not seeing the iso ball some of you say they are playing. They are running mostly the same stuff as last year.

Defense, rebounding, hustle…more 3s…all things that need improvement. That and better players as we only have 6 giving us consistently good play.
Defense, rebounding and hustle is their achilles’ heel. They score plenty. If they rarely somehow manage to get a stop the other team gets the offensive rebound and scores anyway.
THIS. Drives me crazy! Feels like the Clippers scored 95% of the time. Whether it was on the first, second, third, or fourth try. The lack of hustle for loose balls is infuriating.

When you keep giving the other team chances until they score, you might have a defense...er rebounding problem.
Yup.

Okay here’s my crazy ass, all my chips on the table move. Probably have no 2nds after this,

1st- Trade KBD and Eubanks for 2nd rounders gtfo

2nd- Trade Nurk(I’ll miss your big fat Dick), Goodwin, Multiple 2nds for Marcus Smart.

3rd- Little, Okogie, Yuta 2nd and a 2030( or some other year) 1st round draft swap for Kelly Olynyk

4th- Trade Exception, 2 2nds for Shaddiq Bey

Booker-Beal-Allen-KD-Olynyk

Smart-Gordon-Bey-Bol
Or flip allen and Smart in the starting 5. Whatever floats your boat.
Maybe get a decent pick up from the buyout market as well. No idea is possible players for that tho.

You fix the bench. Get a pg that everyone keeps crying about. Defense and center still sketchy but you would have 8 actual good players( starting 5 + Gordon, Smart, Bey), maybe 9 if Bol is the real deal. You’d have Allen, Olynyk and Bey’s bird rights to re-sign, hopefully on decent deals too, Smart on a multi-year contract already. You’d have continuity for next year plus our draft pick for next year to add to the mix.

I hate to say it but Luka would have been that guy. We love to hate him but we'd probably love him on this team.

There ya go. That's somebody that's at least available I'd think. But it is weird getting a rookie coach for this veteran group.

If PJ Tucker gets bought out, I’d take his washed ass over KBD. I don’t care. Also that’s saucey’s fav player too. Win-win.

I'm not ready to call it yet, but if this season continues like this the rest of the way, the KD trade was a big mistake. That's on Ishbia. Let's see what he does from here.
