Has any Sun ever had 40-point games on back-to-back nights?
Good question. If anybody, it’d be Book.

Didn’t Book get back to back 40 bombs during the finals?
The Finals aren’t played on back to back nights.

This shit is so nuts. He double pumps and shoots it in a narrow window between two defenders flying at him.

That was a remarkable shot. Watching it in real-time I thought for sure it was blocked and I was amazed when it went in.

The Bulls are still bitter about Caruso's wrist injury, so they were clearly focused on getting after Allen. DeRozan tried to make a meal out of a common foul and it kinda kickstarted the sequence of energy that boosted the Suns into the game. Funny how it ended up hurting them when DeRozan had no reason to pull on Allen's arm other than to bait the official based on reputation.
I noticed the extra aggression against Allen earlier in the game.

Upon review, Bulls fans should be angry with DeRozan. He got caught up trying to match KD instead of allowing White to drive the offense.

Watching the Bulls broadcast now. Stacey King really let loose a “Do you believe in miracles!” going into halftime after they were saying the Bulls haven’t beaten the Suns in 5 years.

Bulls up 23 with 8:06 left in the 3rd and the Bulls announcers are having a grand old time as they go to commercial break hootin’ and hollerin’.

Bulls put a graphic up showing Durant had missed his last 8 shots in a row. He then proceeds to hit three straight threes while the Suns start closing the gap. Soon after Eubanks gets his technical and he comes alive from there.

I know Eubanks' numbers on the court have been pretty bad this season but I've always liked what he's brought off the bench. Good energy and hustle, defends the rim and can get up for dunks. Maybe playing with the starters helps or it was a favorable matchup against the Bulls?

KD can't hit tonight.
That didn’t age well. :)
Glad that didn't last long. ;)

Yeah, I think he got unfairly maligned by some folks here. He did have a stretch of poor games, but almost the entire team played badly during that stretch. He has always played with good energy, good at setting screens, decent finisher on rolls, etc. Serviceable backup center if you ask me.

Best angle. Been looping this to see different fan, player and coach reactions the moment he hits it. I want this fed to me on an IV.

What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

I don’t think he was unfairly maligned. Everyone was pretty excited about him, he started the season well, but he went through a stretch where he was legitimately awful on both sides of the ball. Vogel gave him a lot of rope and he still had to yank him from the rotation.

He plays like he’s over-caffeinated. He gets the ball and panics if there’s not an immediate shoot/pass decision available and it often leads to mistakes. He needs to chill a little bit and he did that last night. He was much more under control. On D it’s much of the same issue. He’s too jumpy and the offensive team can easily use his aggression against him.

One qualm I have about last night's game, is that during the post-game interview, KD said something along the lines of that they made adjustments to their defensive scheme at halftime that helped them get back into the game. Well, what the heck was the thought process going into the game? Because for a long time, it looked like the defensive plan was to leave Caruso wide open in the corner for 3s, which I think most would agree isn't the best way to go. It would be so interesting to follow around the coaches as they game plan game to game.

On a more fun note, my 7-year old watched the second half of the game with me and I wish I could bottle up the excitement and fun that he had watching that comeback and share it with everyone. And when KD made that shot at the end and the game and just the "wow" moment he had... just good father/son time right there.

That's awesome man! Great that your son is at that age where he can start to get into games. So cool :)
