I'm still waiting for the rumored surveillance video. Pretty impressive that it hasn't leaked if it really exists.

Yeah, where is TMZ when you need them?

Mikal does not like it there and the fans don’t like him. It’s sad. He deserves better. I still kinda want him to stay there until 2026 though so he’ll come sign with us in free agency.
What?! The fans there don’t like him? First I’ve heard of that.
That’s sad…. They have such a great kid. Well hopefully this helps him somehow come back when his contract expires. If there’s one player I could see taking a massive pay cut to just play here, it’s Kal.

There’s definitely been a lot of chatter about Nets fans not being happy with Mikal…I don’t know how widespread it is, but I’ve seen it.

I think there are a few parts to it...he's been miscast as a #1 option for the Nets that I think comes from being the biggest name coming back in the KD trade and the numbers he was putting post-trade. He's not a 26ppg go-to scorer. He's settled back into more of the 18-20ppg scorer so there's some disappointment about that. The Nets have been at best mediocre and he's the face of the team now. There's also confusion about the the Nets' plans - are they rebuilding or tearing it down? Were they shopping Mikal for picks at the deadline? The Nets say they want to build around him which sounds funny to fans because that's something you say about a star player, not a roleplayer. But he should be regarded as a building block and a key piece to put next to a star. So that's kind of a miscommunication coming from people around the team. I think the Nets should be in play for DJM or Donovan Mitchell and if they land one of those guys, Mikal's value to the team skyrockets.

It's always hard to take the temperature of "real" Nets fans because there are so few of them.

The whole market is so fickle that bringing in a guy like Mitchell could really disrupt the authority of who matters in NYC.

We all know Ant Man is legit and the future
From what I gather the Timberwolves struggle without Conley
So guess this isn't surprising

Sounds like there’s not a huge problem if people are watching

Half the people probably watched just to complain about it on social.

What they don't tell you is how far the numbers are down from the peak, which I believe was under Stern.

I was not one of the 11.6 Million. I can't stand watching the All-Star Game. It's horrible. I'm not sure what to do about it. They won't get rid of it while it makes money (I guess it does), and I don't like any of the of ideas for fixing it that I've seen. I'll just happily keep ignoring it.

Didn't watch. Then I saw Book's highlights on youtube and gave it a try. Stopped after 2 plays, disgusted by the lack of D and motivation.
Watching trained mices playing ball was more interesting than that. Really.

I would love to see the numbers on how much they paid out

They’re fudging the numbers. Listen to Bill Simmons podcast, he explains how they basically just changed how they’re counting viewership. He likened it to counting 3 pointers as 5 pointers now.

You got a quick recap? I won’t be able to listen this week

I was going to make the same comment as MM. Basically, they've just started accounting for stuff like airports, bars, public spaces, etc. in addition to broadcasts across multiple networks such as the game being on both TNT and TBS.

Viewership isn't actually up, they're juking the stats.

That’s interesting…though I don’t see what’s wrong with counting both tbs and tnt broadcasts…if people are watching it counts…I can see how counting bars, airports, restaurants can be misleading though.
