Suns get a reprieve from their tough schedule tonight after taking on the top team in the league the night before. The only question is whether the Suns play with their food or not. As we’ve discussed lately, the Suns haven’t had a whole lot of blowouts (20+) this season. Answer, thanks to Split, is 5. Let’s just win without too many shenanigans? Capeesh?

We'll squeak out a 6 point win but the advanced numbers will look good so Suns Twitter will claim we're still contenders.

We'll get a good look at almost-Sun and woman-beater Miles Bridges! We should be able to pick up a much-needed W here. We have slipped down to the 7 seed behind the Kings after our last few losses. I'd love to see us get back up to #6 or #5 by the end of the regular season, but we apparently have the toughest remaining schedule in the entire league, so, gulp. Maybe instead we'll drop to #8 behind the Mavs, who are currently only 0.5 games behind us?

FF says that toughest schedule thing is bogus and nothing to worry about. :)

Why didn't the refs call a foul on that 3, when Book landed on Tillman's foot? That was one of many bad no calls in the game.

Someone hide Eric Gordon's shoes.

Never thought I'd rather see Bol Bol play over Eric Gordon.

Also, why we always get this dark haired lady ref?

This 4th quarter is on KD. He's been terrible.

TERRIBLE.

The bounce pass right to the Hornets was my favorite part.

Up 16 against a dog shit team and I have nothing good to say about the Suns. I guess this is what happens when you sell your soul for a title, go Bol Bol I guess.

It's so hard to root for this team. KD should've sat this one out. He's got no desire to be out there.

All our good vibes left the building with Payne. There’s no one on this team that plays with any fire. Everyone is too cool for school.

Wow, a completed game and a Game Day thread that's only 1 page of posts. Sign of the times. I agree with the sentiment that even in a win, it's hard to get too hyped about this team which is clearly not headed for a title run.

Negatives: KD looked really lethargic tonight. Booker also really doesn't look right; he air balled multiple shots and ended up 6-18. Bol Bol was unimpressive and missed almost everything. We didn't get much off the bench other than EG.

Positives: 21 boards for Nurkic, who frequently looked like a giant among the smaller Charlotte bigs. It was nice to get Eric Gordon back; he had 14 points. As up-and-down as he's been, he is a real asset on a good night. Royce O'Neale hit his shots tonight for a change. Beal played pretty well, shooting 7-11 and getting 7 assists and 6 boards.

I'll take the win. On to the next.
