Game Day: Suns (41-29) @ Spurs (15-55), Sat 3/23/24

Time: 5:00 pm AZ (5:00 pm PT/8:00 pm ET)
Place: Frost Bank Center, San Antonio, TX
TV: AZ Family 3TV/NBALP

Suns head to San Antonio for a double date with the Spurs. These are those pesky Spurs who beat the Suns twice early on in the season. Those two Spurs wins represent over 13% of all their wins after 70 games. Suns owe these guys. But do they care? We’ll see. There really is no excuse to not only beat these Spurs, but beat them soundly. We are relatively healthy and Okogie has been upgraded to Questionable. And no, that isn’t a reference to his three point shot.

And Nurk's gonna grab and hold his head 27 times and look at the ref in disbelief.

I've been so busy I didn't realize we were so close to the end of the season. I guess that's why everyone on the internet is so sensitive about our lack of consistency still showing up.

It'll be fun to look at Wemby. He's been extremely good the second half of the season. It seemed like Chet had RotY sewn up, but now Wemby might be in play for both DPoY and RotY; crazy. The Spurs are having a perfect season in a sense: they're giving important development to the best young phenom in the league, while also keeping one of the league's worst records so they will get another top-5 draft pick. Their future looks bright as long as Wemby can stay healthy.

I've got a little action on today's game. Wish me luck. I have no choice but to use Bovada's numbers. Here's what I need. Book 25.5+ points, Durant 24.5+ points, and Allen 3.5+ threes.

EJ surprised Booker can't get around Wemby off the dribble, really?

This team’s IQ 🤦🏽‍♂️

Beal breaks down his guy to get to the rim and gets a wide open lay up…and fuckin passes!?! He passed to Nurk, who wasn’t expecting it because why would he? He’s covered and Beal has a wide open lay up to get the easy bucket, why the fuck would he pass to him?

Solid start but the Spurs also can't hit a shot. Book looks good, so does KD. Grayson getting to the basket at will. Spurs are running us off the 3pt line so a lot of 2s so far. As long as they don't get hot from 3 we'll be OK with this.

Gotta keep getting into Wemby when he has the ball. He'd fit right in with the Suns and bad passes under pressure

KD and Booker going up for the lob is great symbolism for who is the 1a.
