Is he gonna keep giving us .679 TS%, or regress to the mean?
It feels like and looks like he keeps improving every year, but there is going to be a limit at some point.
In six seasons so far: .516, .609, .586, .609, .612, .679. Not a very strong trend line before this last season. It seems aberrational.

I think we should brace ourselves for some regression from Grayson next year. He was in a contract year, and despite everything else wrong with this team, Grayson was in almost the perfect position to benefit from this roster construction. He got so many open looks and hit a great percentage of them. He also stayed completely healthy. He played well above his usual numbers; Milwaukee would never have let him go if they'd known he would have a season like this. So I think he's likely to regress a bit closer to his usual numbers next year due to any number of these factors. But that's okay; we basically had to keep him due to his great season as well as the tax/apron stuff with the inability to get any other players above the minimum.

Definitely a bit of an outlier, but I think he’s also never played with such good teammates that draw so much attention. I know he played with Giannis, but Jrue and Middleton don’t draw the same as KD/Beal…Beal also set a career high in 3pt% and TS%….Bol Bol too while we’re at it haha

Perhaps, but he's improved 4 out of the five years from his 1st year. Seems like a decent trend line.

Exactly. Other than season 2, it's a continued upward trend. I'd like to see his attempts trends as well.

If Greyson could get much better at creating for himself, I think his attempts improve too. He's doing well in his current role though, despite some limitations. If he's not shooting, it's because he's being guarded closely off the ball, and if that's happening, he's opening things up for everyone else.

His WS, VORP, ORtg, and PER have improved in almost every season.

Per 100 possessions, his 3PA are: 11.4, 9.2, 10.4, 10.4, 8.9, 8.6. Negative trend line.

His 2PA are: 9.1, 7.2, 5.3, 4.8, 4.6, 4.6. Ditto.

On the upside, his ORtg is 95, 114, 116, 122, 123, 130.

You can take less shots, improve your effeciency and help the team year after year. I don't think they are mutually exclusive.

Ya that shows me he was an afterthought for the defense in previous seasons and now teams know not to leave him.

Replace Eubanks too. I think it’s very likely Damion Lee opts in too, I’m 50/50 on if EG stay. Probably will depend on if we make a deep run otherwise I could see him leaving for a different contender.
Please let EG leave, won't miss his dumb ass.

I'll take anybody over Eubanks. Frank Kaminsky are you still alive??

Any news on Damion? How close is he to playing? Hasn’t played in a year. Even if he came back, would he be in any kind of shape?

Edit:

Suns' Damion Lee battles depression working his way back from injury

https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/ ... 312424007/

Lee’s been doing on-court work and looking at a possible return in the playoffs.

“To be determined,” Lee said. “I'll just leave it at this. I feel like the longer we go in the postseason, the more likely there is a chance. No timetable necessarily. It's all feel based. You saw me out here shooting, jumping. Running.”
I think the only reason he’s still with the team and will be on the playoff roster is because the FO doesn’t want to eat the second year (player-option) of his deal, which they’d have to do if they waived him. I have no expectations for him contributing in the playoffs.

Using two playoff roster spots on guys who can’t play isn’t ideal, but it likely won’t matter with our shrunken rotation. (Sorry, IT is the other. He is flat out not an NBA player anymore and looks significantly worse than Saben Lee. Strictly a vibes hire)

He’s the 15th man…it’s on us if we thought we were getting a playoff rotation worthy guy. Best case scenario was he was a huge locker room guy that maybe could play 8 minutes in a game when Booker is in foul trouble and Beal is out with a short term injury and EG has a migraine. Looks like he’s not playable for those 8 minutes, but the locker room stuff feels real.

He's definitely a vibes guy in the locker room, which is whatever, I guess they needed it because he offers nothing on the floor. Big fat zero.

I just don’t care, he’s not seeing the floor unless it’s garbage time so I’m not gonna worry about it.

I'm relieved the Wolves don't have any of those reckless defender flopper types.
