Game Day - Playoff Edition - Game 3: Wolves (2-0) @ Suns (0-2), Fri 4/26/24

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:30 pm AZ (7:30 pm PT / 10:30 pm ET)
Place: Footprint Center, Phoenix, AZ
TV: AZ Family 3TV/ESPN

The Timberwolves will need to win this one in order to meet their fans demands of "Wolves in four!" The Suns will need to wake up and play some team ball, show some hustle on the defensive glass, and take care of the damn ball to prevent it from coming to fruition.

On a personal note, I arrived in the Valley today as I make my return to my home state and start the next chapter of my life. I will get to watch the game on the local AZ Family 3TV. Excited about that. Also, hope to see some of you in the coming year. AIG owes me a meal and beer for one! (Thanks Beal!)

From my experience re-turning an ankle before it's fully healed hurts like freakin' hell, and the reaction and pain may make the injury seem worse than it really is. It looked like his ankle turned enough though that I'm doubtful he plays in tonight's game.

To quote the great British comedy Blackadder: this is, as they say, it.
If we lose this one, it’s season over. So I guess we’ll see how much this team wants to keep pushing or whether they have are just going through the motions. Fingers crossed we at least fight for four quarters.

I think we win this one, but I think we lose this series in 6

Well if we don’t want to spend our money to watch this team potentially get swept in person, maybe we could do a meet-up to watch game 4 somewhere on Sunday night. Perhaps you need more time to get settled in but I’m not too confident the Suns will allow for that. :P

HAPPY 91st BIRTHDAY, AL! :D

Let’s win this one for Al McCoy!

He sounds as good as ever, and still sounds way more competent to broadcast, or even coach, this team than most!

I wouldn't mind seeing Bol get some meaningful minutes in this one. Also, the one big adjustment Vogel should make is giving Okogie some minutes to slow Conley down primarily; could also let him go against Edwards a bit.

I don't see the Suns winning unless Booker has a monster game. I don't see Booker having a monster game.

From https://www.brightsideofthesun.com/2024 ... -stay-home at BSOTS.

"Jaden McDaniels has done a quality job locking up Booker in this series, and it’s starting to get to Devin. With McDaniels guarding him in this series, Booker has just 3 points. That is on 53.9 partial possessions. He’s 1-of-6 from the field (16.7%) and has been blocked twice."

Right now, Jaden McDaniels is the MVP of this series. Only 1 inch shorter than KD and apparently, can shoot the ball.

Somewhere not too far from my mom who is in a nice gated community in South Phoenix (32nd St and Baseline area). I'm staying with her while my CA home is being remodeled and then sold. It's going to be at least 3 months before I can purchase my Phoenix area home. I'm all ears as to suggestions. I want to live within 20 minutes of her.

I'm game!
I have Sunday off. I might be up for it. I play in Tucson the night before getting home real late and having to be up by 9. I might be burned out but, we will see.

My bold prediction: Kyler and MHJ will be courtside for today’s game.
Also the Suns win or whatever.

I work until 6 on Sunday but I could probably meet up somewhere by around 7 or so. Game starts at 6:30.

Listening to this, it's kind of funny, as Al used to complain about the officiating as well. :D But I'm with him. Book especially. He needs to expect it and play through it. As Shaq says about Icy Hot, "Man up!"
