I’m not posting his take but I want the record to show that I think Bill Simmons is a major douche. I hope to enjoy a Suns win over Boston in the near future.

Billups is supposedly on the outs with Portland after the made him fire 2 of his assistants (one was his brother). I don't know that he showed much of anything in Portland and don't know what the players would've heard about him. They may just not want another re-tread HC but leaving up to the players isn't always a great idea either.

People who don't really follow the Suns for the most part think Vogel got shafted, but watching the debacle up close it's obvious he wasn't the answer, even though he's clearly not the only problem. Jones (and Ishba) did a terrible job putting the roster together and the two minimum contract veterans that they signed that were actually in the rotation and they were counting on to contibute (Gordon and Eubanks) were both ineffective. And their lack of size and a point guard were both glaring weaknesses.

So hiring a new coach may be a step toward fixing things, but the job clearly isn't finished.

They are 100% hiring Bud. Woj didn't say that by accident.
What do you think if so? Do you count his championship? ;)
Played a full season, yes sir. Sucks donkey nuts that the Suns capitulated the way they did.
72 games? About the same as the previous season.

Perk is on PTI and said KD hadn't talked to Vogel in 4-5 months. Said he has Vogel's blood on his hands. I think Perk has beef with KD so maybe he's just taking a shot at KD but not sure if that was known anywhere else?

It sounds as though Lakers fans are keen to take Frank back....

I hope Ishbia doesn't go this route, but that's a former piston champion so I wouldn't put it past him.

As I said, there was no way Woj drops his name during the firing announcement, everything he does has something attached to it

I wish we could have backed up the Brinx truck for Dan Hurley.

Reading the tea leaves they will wait a couple of days before hiring Bud so it looks like they have considered everything but they have already pretty much decided.

Good riddance. He's a goof and his staff sucked. Knew we were in trouble when Fiz was his first hire.

They better get buy-in from Book on the next coach. I don't really care about KD or Beal, it'd be nice if they were onboard too but we can't alienate Book and piss him off. He's tasted success and winning, he knows what it looks like and he knew Vogel and this staff wasn't it. It was obvious all year long how unhappy he was.
I don’t know man, Book looked like shit this past year. He’s not getting a pass from me. He needs to get his shit together next year.

First, good riddance to Vogel.

Second, who cares what Perk thinks.

Third, Vogel getting shafted is laughable. The Suns sucked all season in the 4th quarter. That’s coaching.

Fourth, no to Lue. He is Vogel coach g the Clippers. Lateral move at best.

Fifth, roster construction being the problem may be a very small excuse, but by far the biggest problem. Vogel had no idea how to use what we have.

Could be here with his brother for a season or 2(I don’t expect Bobby to be at ASU much longer).

Why?

Who was the last college guy to have success in the pros? Stevens is fantastic in every facet after that though, Billy Donovan?

We need a coach and a pg. Maybe he's coming for the second option

It’s the same exact situation as last summer. Do we hire Budenholzer (the coach with championship experience) or Billups (the coach that Durant and Booker want)?

We saw how not hiring the players’ choice went this last season. But will giving them what they want result in success?
