REQUEST: Let's help fund carey's classroom!

Hi gang, I wanted to let you know about a charitable opportunity I plan to take part in, and I hope you guys will join me. Phx-suns.net mainstay carey is a teacher at a public high school in New Orleans. As you may know, teachers are chronically underpaid and schools are often sorely in need of funding and supplies. Carey has an Amazon wish list where he is raising some money to buy supplies for his classroom and students for this fall, such as scientific calculators and organizers. If you have the means, would you consider helping buy supplies for these students?

Thanks so much all. People have been so kind in helping fund my class. The biggest need right now is replacing the calculators although I won't need them until we start trig in late fall. Still, I thought it best to put them on there now.

I just took care of one. My wife is a third grade teacher, so I know firsthand how ridiculous it is to always have to pay out of pocket for teaching supplies. She is lucky to be in one of the wealthiest districts in the state of CT, so I can only begin to imagine how difficult it is for you. Happy to help out.
