I agree 100% that Dunn getting better offensively is a requirement for him to get meaningful minutes. If he was better on that end of the court he would have been off the board way before our pick.
Separately, I think our offensive style last season did a lot of our players no favours and some of them could be better overall players with a better offensive system. I would put Dunn in this category and think he would have struggled mightily on last year’s Suns.
I’m interested to see the tweaks that Bud makes and the impacts that has on all of our players.

All Dunn really has to do is cut and dunk to be effective. Keep moving.

Some good stuff from Oso in this one. Dunn is special on defense but the offense is hard to watch.

Looking at the videos, he is more fluid than I had feared. Definitely not a stiff.

Oso has some pretty good moments in this one. He's a really smooth, smart, and skilled offensive player. I think it'll be hard for Bud to keep him off the court. I do wonder if there's some potential there at the 4 if we can find someone who can be a stretch 5. At times he handles the ball like a guard and is able to defend well on the perimeter. Just not sure he's got the size and physicality to be a full time 5. Definitely reminds me of Boris but with better size, aggression and quickness.

I think Dunn will be fine. We know he's not an offensive player and he doesn't look to have much feel for any kind of offense. I don't really expect that to change much. It'll be a matter of whether or not he can hit open jumpers, probably from the corners off kickouts which aren't shots he's getting in SL. But even at this point the defense really looks elite. He's just electric when he's out there. I'm excited to see him with legit NBA scorers but also want to see where he'll play. He can probably switch everything 2-4, maybe 1-4, which should take a lot of stress off our big 3.

I hate our guards. Tyson Walker just can't play even at the summer league level. Weatherspoon had it going in the 1st half and has some good size but he's a dime a dozen guard. Devoe sucks, Wong was eh, Buie hasn't really gotten going yet offensively. Franks is an interesting 4/3 with some good size and a good looking shot. He doesn't look to have any dribble drive game but he has stood out to me. Roddy was more active overall and finished with 12 rebounds, handled the ball less but when he did it was usually a TO. It was good to see him letting the game come to him tho. Jalen Bridges needs more than 14 minutes. He looks and plays a bit smaller than I was hoping but the shot looks great.

Oso def isn't stiff. He only lasted to the second round because he's short for a 5 and can't shoot.

I'm looking forward to seeing what Bud can do with him.

Seems shortsighted to hold him out of Summer League over a couple days or missed practices. Cue the Allen Iverson practice speech.
