So Tyus said he was the starting pg, so….

PG: Tyus Jones, Monte Morris, Collin Gillespie
SG: Bradley Beal, Grayson Allen, Damian Lee
SF: Devin Booker, Royce O’Neale, Josh Okogie
PF: Kevin Durant, Bol Bol, Ryan Dunn
C: Jusuf Nurkic, Mason Plumlee, Oso Ighodora

I’ll leave Little off for now as I think he’s just trade bait. Jalen Bridges on a 2-way as well.

Team looks way more balanced than last year, but we got excited for last year’s free agents also so I’ll remain skeptical until we see some meaningful games.

I think that’s fair…though Tyus Jones is two tiers above anyone we signed last year

Now we need Bud to get them to run and shoot 3s….cant be a small team and play a halfcourt style that generates mid range shots. Run and shoot.

Some articles I found on him characterizing him as a great offensive playmaker, low turnover, low usage, plays with pace. He has a total bag of catch and shoot 3s, pull up, and floaters. So get ready for the next wave of SSOL. Beal, Book, KD, and Jones are gonna get a lot more open shots. Too bad Nurk isn’t a dive and finish—he may be the odd man out unless he is really in better shape.

Moving Nurk for a true rim running C would be the best thing we could do at this point…or maybe Oso is a hidden star

Don’t suppose we could make a Nurk Capela swap?

Jones, Morris and Plumlee are way different than the guys we signed last year. I really like the signings, especially Morris and Jones now who are steady hands at the point guard spot. It's a point guard driven league and we're at least back to a Rubio level of consistency and competency at that position in terms of handling the ball, managing the team and getting our scorers their shots. Some fans and reporters thought point guard wasn't an issue last year and didn't need to be addressed - the Suns just addressed it big time this offseason.

I don't love us being forced to play smaller and now play Book out of position. Maybe we can work around it and it won't be as big a deal, but I think a more traditional lineup of Jones, Book, Allen/ONeal, KD and Nurk would be our best option. Beal is still the issue unfortunately. We'd have a lot better balance if he weren't on the roster as we'd be able to put one of our 3-D guys at SF and help spread the floor for Book and KD.

Split, it seems like it's gotten very popular and en vogue to make tier lists now, and to put everyone in tiers When / where did this come from?

Also, do you think we will ever get a game called Tiers of the Kingdom?

Okay flagrant, I no longer think we end up 11th seed. Big time signing. I just need an impact trade for a 3/4 at the deadline

Allen for Dude Fking Sucks would seem most logical if the Nets want the contract.

If bud can get Beal to come off the bench he’s worth every penny he’s paid as the head coach.

Might even start Dunn if that can happen. And let Nurk try to take a couple of threes.

Hmm, not sure…I do remember some draft guy explaining how teams draft for best player and need at the same time(you rank players by tiers but then draft for need inside the tier). So if you need a pg, you still wouldn’t take a tier 2 pg over a tier 1 c, but you’d take him over any other tier 2 guy…that’s when I really remember tiered rankings becoming a thing in basketball at least. Not sure when exactly that was.

There is literally no one better at taking care of the ball than Tyus Jones in nba history.
