Suns' starters played 120 minutes, the Lakers starters played 168.

I don't know how it makes sense to play Bryant 34 minutes in a preseason game.

I love the bench with Thomas and Green. I mean there will be virtually no decline when Bledsoe and Dragic are on the bench.

Even Shavlik played well after I verbally gave his roster spot to Earl Barron.

The Morri...good grief. They had the motion of a backed up toilet tonight.

It doesn't. Couldn't really believe he started OT.

IT3 is going to win sixth man of the year this year. I'm calling it.

You're late to the party, sdc. He showcased it in the scrimmage before preseason began.

I'm a bit shocked at how much I'm enjoying IT's game. I wasn't sure how he would fit in but he seems perfect for this team. He comes in and immediately starts pushing the pace. Plus he hits his shots. Plus he's a fiery little fucker too. We need more of that honestly.

How is the ball movement looking when our subs come in? I thought IT and Green at times would be an explosive combo but at other times potentially be over aggressive with their own shot. How has it been?

Movement looks good. I was watching Thomas specifically at times to gauge that. When it appears he is about to over dribble he probes inside. I specifically remember a play that he probed all the way through the lane from the left and came back out the right side. It reminded me of Nash a bit.

Green and IT3 seems to be so far so good. I feel that Thomas looks for his shot once other options are exhausted or the offense breaks down or is stagnant. So far he's a dream come true. He' s got fire and leadership that a 2nd unit needs. He's also still one hell of a ball player despite his size but we knew that.

Um, there was a long long stretch in the 4th Q where the ball didn't move at all. It was during a IT-Green-Tucker-Marcus-Randolph lineup. We went 2-15 and there was very little passing going on. It's why we needed a last second IT shot to even make it to OT.

I'm worried about the Morrii. I don't like starting both of them. Marcus is not a starting NBA SF. And they look for each other too much. I know it's early but I think we may have whiffed on signing those two long term.

Well that was two completely contrasting posts re ball movement.

I really like the idea of the IT, Green, Warren combination off the bench. 3 guys who are very strong on offense. 1 super streaky, one a bit streaky but who can also penetrate + get to the line and Warren who seems quite consistent more so than streaky. This then allowing Len to ease in and focus on defence and getting easy hoops due to the focus on the other guys.

Is it just me or do the Morri always have very average pre-seasons. I remember everyone making similar complaints about their early struggles last year.

For me it's less of how the Morris twins are playing and more about their skill set as a whole. Marcus does nothing a number of guys on our roster don't do as well or better already. And Markieff, well, he seems to be a replacement level NBA PF to me. That's worth $8Mil a year? Not to me, but that's above my pay grade as a whiny fan.
