Game Day: Suns (38-28) @ Nets (33-31) , Mon 3/17/14

Post by Superbone »

Time: 7:30 PM ET (4:30 PM Pacific/Arizona)
Place: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
TV: FSAZ, NBALP

We need a consistent Green to win. (Pretty much a true statement in life too.) The Nets are not patsies though. They've won 7 out of the last 9.

Go Suns!!!

I woulda been here weeks ago but when I registered, I never received the confirmation email. Apparently it finally auto-confirmed.

I feel like tonight will have a playoff atmosphere.

Bledsoe and Dragic should have their way, Suns 104 100.
Jones and Vogel gotta go.

KG is still out with back spasms. The Nets have been creating havoc on turnovers lately so we need to take care of the ball. If we have one of our patented 20 Turnover games we'll get our butt's kicked.

Does anyone else think, that the reason OKC lost the other game is because they dont want to risk playin us in the playoffs? Im sure alot of teams dont want to play us, atleast before our slump.

Hey, m1chal, did you hear EJ's and Albert's shout out to Poland during the Raptors game? I guess a lot of our Polish fans were tweeting since the game was on at a good time there.

You scare me when you predict a win. It seems we always proceed to lose.

Honestly, all of the four teams jockeying for the last three spots could be a really tough out.

And even though I'm not very high on Dallas, let's look at it factually: Dallas has more experience, a championship level coach, an all-time great, and the Suns are playing some of the worst defense in the league. I'm not sure why any of the top teams would be trying to avoid the Suns.
Trendon Watford. Please and thank you.

Seems like Len is looking more confident out there. Glad he is getting time.

Suns making a nice comeback here in the 3rd. I really like seeing Bledsoe back out there on the floor. His D and athleticism are infectious. He just had a great block on D Williams from behind.

this one went south again really fast - nets in the middle of a 14-0 run.

Nets shooting 60% through three quarters.

Just a horrible defensive effort. No way to sugar-coat it.

Suns offense looked pretty good, but we just couldn't get stops. Was nice to see Goodwin get some minutes, and Markieff Morris looked very solid. Oh well; on to the next game.

My predictions are always wrong lol.

We look how I thought we would pre season, gross to watch. Atrocious defense. We just look tired overall, no way we make the playoffs.

Historically, this is the most common pitfall of young teams that make a splash early in the season. For another example look at Portland. Few of our players are used to being relied upon over 82-games, and the one ironman (Dragic) has been fighting not only fatigue but also a series of severe ankle sprains.

I would guess that Dragic has torn either the ATFL or CTFL ligaments in his ankle, and that he should undergo the Brostrom procedure for reconstruction, which has close to a 100% success rate. IIRC, 98% of patients end up with superior ankle stability and ability to continue athletics after a 9-month period. With Dragic being the athlete that he is, and with the Warlocks supporting him, I would guess that he could be on the floor earlier than that. BTW, I had the procedure done 5 years ago largely to ensure that I could continue an active lifestyle, and have never had regrets.

The key is to either win and win a lot or to lose and to lose a lot. Either end up 8th or 10th. Minny does not seem to be cooperating, however.
