We are currently behind Dallas by 0.5 games for the 8th and final playoff spot. Who ends up on the outside?

Code: Select all

5	Portland 45	25	.643	8 ½
6	Golden State 44	27	.620	10
7	Memphis 41	28	.594	12
8	Dallas 42	29	.592	12
9	Phoenix 41	29	.586	12 ½

I think these next four games are very winnable.

I think we end up beating Dallas out for the 8th spot, but I'm biased. :D

Yeah I just think this team has shown enough grit and toughness that they will find a way to make it in. It is dumb to think that missing the playoffs would be good just because it would make our draft pick be 1-2 spots higher. These guys need playoff reps. I even think we could give the Spurs a pretty good series, though I think the Thunder are a horrible matchup for us.

I think I said something similar in another thread but whether we make it or not, I will be very happy with this season regardless. I just think it would be nice for us to get into the playoffs because I feel this team deserves it. Most of these guys are having careers years and have worked their asses off to put this team in the position it is now. I think it would be special for this team to go the playoffs after what the predictions were at the beginning of the season and seeing how much the players have come together thus far. You can really tell these guys want it and it would suck to see them not get in.

Also, Fuck the Mavericks.

It isn't one to two spots higher. It would be like six spots higher. I agree tho. Not really down to miss the playoffs. Rather watch em serve giant shit burgers to everyone.

Yep - we just slid down from #14 to #21 overall with tonight's win.....

I know he's still getting back in shape, but Bledsoe is averaging 15/5/5 on just 41% and a pretty terrible 20% from 3. He did hit all 3 of his 3-pointers last night tho.

Coro on the Hawks win last night: CLICK
Other than too many fouls (25 for 27 Hawks free-throw points), the Suns were a far better defensive team than the one that gave up 73 first-half points Sunday. They even jumped out to an 11-2 lead and led after the first quarter for the first time in five games.
Green still hasn't figured out how to contribute off the bench really.
Guard Gerald Green took one shot until the fourth quarter, when he scored nine points in a stretch of 2:37 that staved off the Hawks' final threat.

Dunno if carey or others already posted this, but I enjoyed this article about end of season awards the Suns are in contention for.

Scoring nine points in a stretch of 2:37 that staved off the Hawks' final threat sounds like a contribution to me. :D
