Nah it's just a joke down here in New Orleans. There's an area outside NOLA called Kenner where the people that live there say that all the time, to the point that their city is actually called Kenner-brah by pretty much everyone that lives here. Even my Mom referred to it as Kenner-brah last night. So whenever someone says brah here it's just a joke.
