Game Day: Suns (22-16) @ Spurs (21-15), Fri 1/9/15

Post by Superbone »

Time: 6:30 pm AZ (5:30 pm PT / 8:30 pm ET)
Place: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

Big game for early playoff seeding. But it won't be easy. The Suns have only won one of the last 10 games in San Antonio. The Spurs are still stinging from a close loss to the Pistons. Not a lot of wiggle room in the stacked West.

Go Suns!!!

I always get pumped when we play the Spurs. I think we may lose this one but we'll give them a fight. I always root for the Spurs to do well (when they aren't playing the Suns of course) and hope in general to see them climb back up near the top in the West as the season goes on. I hope their guys can get healthy so they can make a real run at defending their title.

I'm curious to see how Len plays against San Antonio. Hope he has a MAN game.

Spurs/Lakers, same thing. Always a must win just because the Lakers/Spurs deserve to lose to us.

Len played great against the Spurs on Halloween. That's when Lenthusiasm really started to take off around here.

To me they are very different. I actually respect the Spurs for what they have done the last 20 years or so. They didn't just throw money at guys and steal them from other teams, because they could. Their level of consistency is unmatched over that time, with ringS to boot.

When we beat the Spurs, I feel like we accomplished something. When we swept them in the playoffs, it was so rewarding.

When we beat the Lakers, I feel like "they got what they deserved the whiny bitches..."

Diaw is going to abuse us. He already has 3 smooth assits to Duncan, who needed those baskets badly after being defended really well by Len, and one easy hook thanks to his size aginst Marcus.

And timeout Suns. 14-21.

This not being ready to play in the first quarter is becoming a very bad habit.

Nothing like jacking up threes to make it worse.

Oh look yet another fucking slow start where we don't play defense OR offense.

The Spurs are so much smarter and better organized than we are. Every play they are patient and get a good shot. And then we run back and play 1-on-5 and jack up a contested long jumper.
