Game Day: Suns (22-17) @ Grizzlies (25-11), Sun 1/11/15

Post by Superbone »

Time: 4:00 pm AZ (3:00 pm PT / 6:00 pm ET)
Place: FedExForum, Memphis, TN
TV: FSAZ/NBALP

The Wright era begins tonight! :) Let's hope he has the Wright stuff. As far as I know, he doesn't have a brother that plays so we won't be treated to the Wright brothers.
"I see it as an elevating team," said Wright, a 6-foot-10 backup center with elevating physical ability. "Everyone on this team is still growing. This thing is going in the right direction. It's a great fit for me and this is a place I can thrive at."
Go Suns!!!

Only way I see us winning is if we come just banging 3s in from the start.

Can't wait to see Wright. But the Grizz are a horrible matchup for us. And I think they finally have Zach Randolph back after about 10 games off due to injury, and Z-Bo always murders us. I think it'll be a really rough game but I'm looking forward to seeing Wright get a few minutes.

Well we definitely won't lack three point attempts. :)

We should do an over/under on the number of contested three point attempts in the first 7 seconds of the shot clock. Lets make it o/u 10.

I don't think the guys will learn from their mistakes last game. I'm taking the over. With the first coming within 30 seconds of IT and Green checking in.

Kinda excited to see a Len/Wright combo out there on defense.

You have the Wright to Wright these puns, but that doesn't make it the Wright thing to do.

Well, hopefully there aren't a lot of groaners during the game.

Get used to it. It's a pretty good bet you'll hear "the Wright stuff" from Steve Albert every time Brandan dunks.

I'm just glad we don't have Leander doing play by play anymore.

Its a good thing 90% of Suns games I watch have the opposing teams commentators. Can't stand Albert and how proud we are to own the 3pt zone. Ugh.

This is a big game. The suns will be favorite to win there next 3 games vs Lebron-less Cavs,Wolves and Lakers before they hit a stretch of 8 games in a row vs winning teams.

The Grizz have cooled off lately and this game seems very gettable. Although Memphis has positively owned us with there front line over the past 2 years. If we can find a way to get this one it can be huge in the scheme of things and for our confidence.

Suns 93
Grizz 90
“Kobe had said (after the play) I wasn’t hugged enough as a child,” Bell recalled. “My mom kind of found him after the instance and we had beat them and offered him a hug in the bowels of the Phoenix arena. She really feels a part of that story.”

Chatter on the pregame show is that Plumlee will continue to be a part of the rotation. They're talking of a center squad with Len, Wright and Plumlee.

I wonder if we might see Wright and Plumlee on the floor together when IT and Green are bombing away.

Gross offensive possession. 8 points by Z-Bo already. Markieff can't guard him.

10 points for Z-Bo. I'm going to stop typing that now.
