Double thumbs up for White Lotus. Binged both seasons relatively quickly. Just finished up Jack Ryan season 3 last night. Enjoyed the ride. Also finished S3 of Barry recently. Excellent. Very interested what they have on tap for S4. Was thinking The Peripheral is next. Will see if I'm let down like Marty.
I just blew through all 3 Jack Ryan seasons. I thought #3 took a dip in quality and credulity, in large part due to having all the Russians talk in English with bad Russian accents.
Love Barry.
My wife and I liked White Lotus season 1 a lot more than season 2, but I've read a number of reviews that feel the opposite.
Bad Sisters on Apple was very enjoyable.
I used to like Yellowstone, but this last season has been so boring that it turned me off of any of the prequels. It used to be over-the-top, but at least that was fun in a Sons-of-Anarchy kind of way. Lately it's just episode after episode of cowboy-life glorification and scenery porn, including extended scenes of horse riding/cow wrangling, horse tricks (look at that horse spin around! this one runs really fast and then stops!), and recycling of the same feuds and plot points they've used in previous seasons.
I watched the first two episodes of The English and liked it, but paused to watch Jack Ryan. I'll get back into it next.
I was pleasantly surprised by the LOTR show.

I agree that S3 of Ryan was the least enjoyable of the three but I’m pretty good at suspension of disbelief. I also agree that I preferred S1 of White Lotus by a decent margin but still enjoyed S2 quite a bit. Barry got stronger with each season.
I haven’t heard about The English but it’s on my radar now. What’s it about?

It's a mini-series so it's one and done. Which sucks because it's so good. But it has a full closure ending. Emily Blunt stars in it. I never really paid much attention to her but she's stunning in The English.

Episode 3 and 4 are fantastic. It's a slow burn to start but once you get introduced to the true "bad guy" who's absolutely horrific and the ending, which is pretty surprising, you'll get it. Personally, I absolutely appreciated and loved the cinematography. One of the best qualities, I thought. I can see how the music and camera work can be a bit much in the way of more dialogue or action at times. Let me know after 3 to 4 episodes what you think. It took me a minute to really enjoy it.

I agree. As someone who loves the games I was a bit apprehensive about this, but they have done a marvelous job so far. Now, if someone would make a Gears series, I would be in Heaven lol. Ron Perlman would be Marcus Fenix of course

Episode 2 was so good! We just got a new TV to really take advantage of content. Watched in Dolby Vision after I did some calibration with the TV. Definitely recommend!

I did feel like some of the Elle lines were cringe and forced humor. I also thought the same of Anna Torv and her character. A bit forced and cringe worthy, minus the humor.

I haven't gamed much in the past 6 months but decided to give The Last Of Us a run after watching the first two episodes.
I agree the TV show dialogue can be a bit cringe, but I think it's pretty much in line with the game. I'm enjoying both so far.
I will come back to Peripheral at some point. I loved Westworld (RIP) so I will give Nolan/Joy a chance.

This is an underrated show, IMO. Might be a bit too complex for people who aren't typically into the genre. I'd probably read the novels if it weren't so difficult to get them here.

Yeah, I finished it. Great show! I knew it had to be good if it was penned by William Gibson. I hope S2 isn't too far away.
