Phx-Suns.net Vet League is up and running

Post by Superbone »

Invitations sent out to last year's managers. Currently have 12 so we have room for a couple more plus whoever drops out. I'd like to try it a little differently this year with some light restrictions on number of transactions.

Put my name in the hat for an invite. Or if there's a JV league, I'd be happy to join that one.

How does fantasy basketball work where players play a different number of games every week? It's not like football. I've never understood.

You have to watch that and account for it. To me, it takes so much more time.

It's been years since I played, but I used to adjust my lineup for each day. Like, on Sunday night I would set out the lineup for the coming week and then daily look to sub out injured guys.

Some leagues limit the number of lineup changes you can make (IIRC), so you have to do some math about the number of games played.

yeah I wonder if we can change the date. I'm in Beijing so the current time would have me drafting at 4:30 am... I can do Sunday 23rd around 10/11 am eastern, or earlier obviously. Maybe Bone you can just have a few time options and we vote?

First of all, we need one more to make an even 14. Secondly, this year they have a new thing called auto-renewal and I'm not sure if everybody had to accept it or what but it shows all of last year's managers as signed up. I just want to make sure we have all active people who want to play.

As far as draft times, your Sunday propsal is too early for me. Last year we couldn't get a perfect consensus. Everybody should post the day/time best for them and we can all vote. Any weekend day after 10 am PT works for me as well as any weekday after 7 pm PT.

Yeah I understand that timing is tough for everyone. Since I have the weird time zone, maybe it's easier that everyone else proposes a time and I vote on one that works for me. I mean I could get up at 4:30 am, but I'd prefer not to do that if possible, obviously...

Oh and I'm in!

Did you have to do anything? I'm curious because the league shows all managers from last year as "in".

And pickle, you seem to be active right now. What about a time closer to now?
