The only possible seeding scenarios for the Cardinals now are #2, #3, or #5.
I vote for #2.

So that scenario is:

Cards beat Seahawks
49ers beat Rams
Panthers beat Bucs

1. Green Bay
2. Arizona
3. Tampa Bay
4. Dallas
5. LA
6. SF
7. Philly

We get the 3 seed if the above scenario happens, but TB beats Carolina:

1. Green Bay
2. Tampa Bay
3. Arizona
4. Dallas
5. LA
6. SF
7. Philly

If Rams win and/or we lose to Seahawks we get:

1. Green Bay
2. Tampa Bay or LA
3. LA or Tampa Bay
4. Dallas
5. Arizona
6. Philly or SF or NO
7. Philly or SF or NO

That’s probably not entirely correct, but I think it is in how it impacts us. So most likely path is Dallas then GB, but if we can get the division title, we’d go SF/Philly and then TB.

Feels like getting the division title would be pretty huge. I’d much rather face 2 of SF/Philly/TB than go Dallas/GB. TB is banged up and catching them earlier would be best. GB is the best team and the later we play them, the more likely we are to get Hopkins and/or Watt back.

This scenario also requires the Eagles beating the Cowboys. Otherwise, we have a three-way tie for the #2 seed which Dallas wins based on conference record, I believe. So it could be ruled out by Saturday night.

The three-way tie rules seem very unfair. Despite losing head-to-head matchups against both the Cardinals and the Bucaneers, the Cowboys could still win the tiebreaker to get the #2 seed!

Good to know, although that might be an even better scenario.

1. Green Bay
2. Dallas
3. Arizona
4. Tampa Bay
5. LA
6. SF
7. Philly

We’d go SF and then the Philly/Dallas winner.

It turns out I was wrong:
Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures
I didn't notice that last part. So that does make it more fair. Dallas gets eliminated in a three-way tie because they lost to both Arizona and Tampa Bay.

So the Cardinals are still alive for the #2 seed despite Dallas winning tonight.

Losing to the Seahawks and blowing a chance to win the division (still need a Rams loss) feels like this teams M.O.

At least the 49ers are playing for a playoff berth, so they shouldn't pack it in early against the Rams next week.
Predictable outcome was in fact, predictable.

So do we get the Cowboys? Really wish we had Hopkins, we seem to miss him a lot

Can he get the Cards defense off of the field on 3rd and long?

Fair point..secondary is banged up too…we came into the season with a very thin CB group though, so kinda are own fault.

I just feel like our offense has felt very blah since Hopkins went out. Having Hopkins be the #1 WR just makes guys like Kirk and Green much more dangerous. Ertz has become our top target without Hop. I just don’t feel confident that they can go down and score when they need to now.

I was only watching on and off today, but Kyler took some bad sacks hanging onto the football too long. Maybe just not making good reads, but I kinda feel like his receivers weren’t getting open.

Our offense has sucked for about 7 games now.

The OLine was supposedly healthy yesterday, but I seemed to remember Kyler getting sacked 3 times out of 5 snaps at one stretch where they could have gotten a 1st down or punched in for a TD. Also, some ridiculous play calling decisions again.

Keim was in the radio this week and couldn't stop hiding his giant boner for Kingsbury. Repeatedly calling him Coach of the Year.

Also, Kyler Murray looks legitimately scared on the field. What a regression. Might not have the size to play with guys this speed, this size.

I was only sort of watching but I shut it off when Murray threw that pick six…just absolutely garbage…he won’t be fired, but I’m back off the Kingsbury bandwagon. Our offense is garbage without Hopkins.
