Movie Scenes That Stick With You

Post by Superbone »

Image

There are certain movie scenes that stick with me that I think about almost every day. Do you have any?

For example, every morning when I wake up and open my dark brown blackout curtains by spreading them open with both hands, I am reminded of a particular movie scene. Do you know which one I am talking about?

Another one is every morning when I stir my coffee, I am reminded of the scene in Get Out where Kaluuya's character is hypnotized and sinks underground into darkness.

Anybody else have stuff like this?

I don't know that first one.

I have a *really* strange one. Whenever I am putting on a dress shirt (which used to be every day, now more like a few times a quarter) I think of the opening scene of Beverly Hills Cop 2. I have no idea why that stuck with me so much.

Wasn’t that his wife’s head in the box?

Every time I hear “I got you babe” I think of ‘Ground Hog’s Day.

I’ll give it a day and see if anybody knows what I’m referring to.

For me it is every time I hear the song, or every time I see one of those flip clocks flip.

More often than you think. Not in real life, but in TV shows/movies. If I see it happen, I hear "put your little hand in mine!" in my head immediately.

That's true. Movies and TV shows tend to use old technology. I guess that's what they have in their prop departments and don't want to spring for new stuff.

Ha ha. As soon as I say that, I see one on a show I’m watching on AppleTV. There’s one in the latest episode of Severance.

OK, I'm going to give a hint. It's a famous comedy.

Nobody? "You're all individuals." OK, to be fair, it's not the same type of curtains. I actually didn't remember them specifically until finding the clip but I'm reminded of this scene every morning when I open mine in the same manner. I don't know. Maybe I have a messiah complex. ;)
