Bar none one of the best books I read last year. I thought Jim from the Office would be a better Watney but this looks pretty good so far.

I like Matt Damon, but he's a bit overused.
Wasn't he the astronaut who went around the bend/psycho in "Interstellar"?

And, maybe it's me, but some of the scenery and props look like leftovers from de Palma's "Mission to Mars."

I'll still go see it; I'm a sucker for even half-way decent sci-fi.

The book really is great. So much of it is the main character's humor so I don't know how it will translate to film but it looks promising thus far.
