Such a surreal couple of games for us. I still can't believe that last play actually happened.

I think we'll be fine, but there's still a nightmare lurking in the shadows.

Portugal seemed a bit disappointed after they equalized. It's like they had already resigned to going home.

How the USMNT can advance: • Win or draw vs. GER • GHA-POR draw • Finish with higher GD than GHA/POR.

Suarez bites again. As if we needed any additional reasons to despise him, but he's such a complex dilemma.

On one hand, he's amazing to watch score goals, but on the other, he's probably the least sportsman-like professional athlete I've ever seen.

I think he should be banned for a very long time. It wouldn't bother me if he was suspended for a calendar year and prohibited form international play from here forward.

Something drastic needs to be done for sure, 3 bites and a racism ban? If he were an NBA player he'd probably miss an entire season, maybe more.

Believe it or not, this isn't from The Onion.
"We don't have any doubts that this has happened because it's Suarez and secondly because Italy was eliminated," Balbi, who is also a Uruguay FA board member, told local Uruguayan radio. "There's a lot of pressure from England and Italy. We’re polishing off a defense argument.

"There is a possibility that they ban him, because there are precedents, but we're convinced that it was an absolutely casual play, because if Chiellini can show a scratch on one shoulder, Suarez can show a bruised and almost shut eye.

"If every player starts showing the injuries he suffers and they open inquiries for them everything will be way too complicated in the future. We’re going to use all the arguments possible so that Luis gets out in the best possible way.”

So then he was going for the regular old chin butt to the shoulder? I mean there is video documentation. Ridiculous, thats like trying to say OJ wasn't driving a white bronco after he murdered his wife.

Obviously Suarez was shouldered in the mouth by Chiellini.

If thats me, Suarez is catching an elbow to the jaw, Chiellini could've destroyed his face.
