Election Day 2016 Megathread

Post by Mori Chu »

Today's the day! Feel free to post here as things are going on. I'll be watching on my computer and TV to see things like:

- Watching for polls to close and early exit polls to start coming out (around 5pm)
- Listening to hear if any violence breaks out at polling places :-/

What will y'all be looking for today? Did you vote today? Did you early vote?

LOL Pop.

Anybody hearing any interesting stories today so far? I'm seeing that Trump is trying to have a lawsuit against Nevada about their polling places? Not sure what he's after there. Presumably saying it is "rigged" in some way? I'm assuming there's no merit to that.

I'm also holding my breath hoping that there are no outbreaks of violence or voter suppression today. Be safe out there.

He's saying they let them vote after poll hours. The problem is that the law says they have to administer voting as long as people are there to vote.

In IN and KY Trump is up 76% to 24% roughly with 1-2% of the vote in.

NYT has a nice site that live-updates with election results:

http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/president

Looks like some interesting battles in NC and FL, with Hillary currently slightly ahead with ~25-30% of the votes counted. But it could change a lot as more votes come in. They also show Trump way up in Ohio.

Map looks VERY red right now. Trump showing strong in Florida, North Carolina, Michigan, even New Hampshire. Scary times if you want to see the other lady win.

Don't worry, that is just fly over states, they don't matter.

This is too close. I will be so ashamed of America if Trump wins. Dark times ahead. Stock market crash tomorrow after if he wins. The world will be shocked and scared and for good reason. I'll be in mourning.

Map is STILL really red. If Wisconsin and Michigan don't flip, Hillary is suddenly in big trouble.

Stunned so far. So many Americans have come out of the woodwork to vote for Trump. How did this happen? He really did have a polling error in his favor. The polls were so wrong.
