Nobody can touch a Supreme Court justice. An army of lawyers could do nothing no matter what any justice does. That’s the whole point. They can do whatever they want. Accept as many bribes as they want and are untouchable. Maybe the Progressive justices will get jealous of Thomas and say since it’s ok, maybe I should get in on the action. I could use a new house and a winnebago.
That's what the former President thought too. Maybe the same thing can happen for SCOTUS. Nobody should be above the law. Even the law makers.

Except they are.
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

And so were former presidents until recently. Things change. Just not sure how you change the law for the highest law makers.

They can be sued. They are being sued currently, and the three liberal judges recused themselves from the case.

We have all kinds of new precedents that have been set in the last 8-9 years.

FYI, SCOTUS decides not to rule yet on Trump's Presidential immunity case.

The Supreme Court is suffering from a lack of trust and they know it. Cons stacked the court. Then the court overturned abortion even though they promised they wouldn’t. Then the Thomas bribes come out and then the Alito flag thing. Now the Supreme Court is thought of as just another branch of the GOP by the left.

With the right under Trumps spell and the Supreme Court becoming a Republican branch of government, Dems are pretty worried about the future of the US.

SCOTUS upholds gun control law. I hear they won't release the rest of their opinions until next Wed most likely.

SCOTUS rules to allow weakening of anti-government-corruption laws. They rule that companies and lobbyists can give money directly to government officials so long as it is a "gratuity" for a rendered service. Okay then. Super sketchy stuff, will be an obvious vector for bribery and corruption.

Today is a big day for SCOTUS rulings. They may even issue an opinion on the Trump Presidential immunity case. Watching Twitter now for updates.

SCOTUS rules that women in Idaho can get emergency abortions if their health is at risk.

Hmm, looks like they may not issue the POTUS immunity case opinion today. They've indicated that they still have more days of results to come.

Supreme Court issues another opinion and overrules the "Chevron doctrine" which indicated that courts are supposed to respect the expert opinions of governmental agencies. From what I'm reading, this is a big one, another ruling by the six conservatives on the Court.

Here's a Slate article about what the decision means. It sounds like a real atom bomb that undercuts the authority of tons of federal agencies all at once and instead hands the power to federal judges across the country:

Holy shit. SCOTUS just found that the President -is- immune prosecution for "official acts."

Yes, I think that the lower courts are going to try to determine what were "official" and "unofficial" acts.

I think that there will be some guidance on what is official and what is not official by Congress.

I think this helps former Presidents from being tried for murder. Like when Obama drone killed a US citizen or when Clinton bombed a country to distract the news from his personal problems while President. Or Bush, when he invaded Iraq on a lie. Or Biden when he killed that family in Afghanistan.

I honestly don't understand why Biden hasn't just packed the Supreme Court. I think he's too old-school and timid to do it, but, it's just about the only way the liberals are going to get any influence on that Court for a generation (or more) to come. It's probably too late now.
