Tulsa shooting is the nation's 233rd mass shooting in 2022, per Gun Violence Archive
From CNN's Elizabeth Joseph
There have so far been at least 233 mass shootings in 2022, according to the nonprofit organization Gun Violence Archive — including today's shooting in Tulsa.

June 1 was the 152nd day of the year. This means there have been more mass shootings this year than there have been days in 2022.

CNN and the GVA define a mass shooting as a shooting that injured or killed four or more people, not including the shooter.

The problem is that hospitals have doors. The problem is that every doctor, every nurse, every janitor at the hospital should be packing heat. The problem is that the shooter played a violent video game. The problem is that he may have smoked marijuana once. The problem is that his parents may have been divorced.

If most of these mass shooters in this country were people of color and they were murdering people in medium to large size office buildings, or state houses or congress, you know exactly what would be happening. We just need lots of POCs around the country to start open carrying these types of weapons in large groups in very public and popular places. And they should be chanting bullshit phrases and holding stupid signs about how Thomas Jefferson wanted them to be able to murder 25 people in under a minute.

It's true. All we need to get gun control in this country is for a bunch of Black people and Muslims to start open carrying AR-15s and shooting people. Then they'll be banned within two weeks.

Yep, but you know they would be banned like we do voting. Easy for white people to get around the rules, harder for non-whites.

Oof. A judge in WI was just murdered. They think it was done by a militia member who wanted revenge. If so, this is very bad.

If you try to say something moderate about guns, the GOP abandons you. They are pushing everyone who is even remotely reasonable out of elected office in the party.

She said later that the police department threatened her to keep her story silent. Yeah dudes, the lady that ran into a building with an active shooter after having to fight off several police officers is really scared what you might do if she tells her story.

This story is front page everywhere except FOX News. FOX decided to not even report this anywhere on their site. Surprised? Not me.

Prosecutors charge five Proud Boys defendants with seditious conspiracy
https://thehill.com/regulation/court-ba ... onspiracy/
Federal prosecutors on Monday added seditious conspiracy to the list of charges five Proud Boys leaders are facing over their alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Seditious conspiracy involves planning to use violence to obstruct or overthrow the government.

The five Proud Boys members, including the group’s national leader, Enrique Tarrio, had been charged over the past year with conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and various other counts.

Both of the types of conspiracy charges are punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Hallelujah. More and more indictments forthcoming I'm sure. This is what an actual investigation looks like.

A lot of cops don’t like people owning AR-15 style assault rifles because when the cops come up against shooters using one they are a lot of times outgunned and are hesitant to engage with them, which was the case in Uvalde.

Opinion: Here’s the reason people tell me they want to buy an AR-15. And it’s simply ludicrous
