Ilhan Omar

The President, along with Fox News and the right-wing media, are actively inciting outrage and violence against her. He is literally going to get her killed. Is this the kind of country we want to be?

This is absolutely horrible and abhorrent for our president to do. This is straight, unfettered racism. You can't blame a whole group of people based on a terrorist act of a small group who happen to share the same religion.

And yet they do.

I can see why people in the West would fear and be angry at Muslims for killing their people.

I can see why Muslims would fear and be angry at the West for killing their people.

Obama tried to bring the two sides together.

Trump is trying to fan the flames.

I prefer Obama’s method.

Saudis murdered Jamal Khashoggi and nobody really cared.

That guy shot up that mosque and nobody really cared.

When Ilhan Omar dies, nobody's really going to do anything about it.

But when it happens, that'll be the day you know it's over for this country.

I wouldn’t say nobody cared. Trump certainly didn’t care since Jamal Khashoggi was a Muslim journalist and Trump has business dealings with the Saudi’s. Turkey cares a lot and supplied the US with proof of the Saudi’s carving Jamal Khashoggi up. The press had it front page for awhile. Nobody on the right cared would be a better way to put it.

I wouldn’t put it past someone on the right to go after her. Right wing terrorism is on the rise big time for some strange reason and I can’t seem to figure out what’s responsible. (wink wink)

It wouldn’t be the day it’s over for this country. It wasn’t over when JFK or Martin Luther King were assassinated. It would just be another sad chapter in our book of America. Two steps forward, one step back.

Presently Trump has been promising to DHS and other officials that if they follow his bidding and break the law and are arrested, he will pardon them for their crimes. The President is literally, literally, trying to make himself and everyone he works with above the law.
“If carried out, this offer to pardon high immigration officials if they will break the law on his behalf is the most obviously impeachable action President Trump has taken to date: It would mean this president has seized the power to put not just himself but all who do his bidding beyond the reach of law." He continues, "That doing so is a high crime and misdemeanor is beyond dispute. Any president guilty of such conduct cannot be permitted to remain in office.”

The polls are pretty much immune to news at this point.

Yet Trumpists and Republicans alike have no problem selling weapons and nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia, a Muslim nation who is largely responsible for funding 9/11.

A nation that also murdered a Washington Post journalist living in the US, and our country won't even denounce it or state that they did it. They were very strong and powerful in their denial!

I just saw BlacKkKlansman. I enjoyed it. They sure do take a big swing at Trump at the end of the movie. I liked the message it sent. Definitely an anti racism movie.

Didn't know where to post this, but, what say y'all of the President's effort to have "the squad" congresswomen blocked from traveling to Israel? He was successful and the Israeli government announced that they could not travel there because of, allegedly, their support for a BDS movement. But they may be rescinding that ban. And now at least one of the congresswomen says she doesn't want to visit the West Bank after all. Bleh.

Trump and Rs love conflating criticism of Israel's gov't and policies with anti-semitism to trigger American Jews which is hilarious given how much antisemitism comes from the right.
