The worst threat is how to manage this virus, and possible future pandemics, and even more important the new world order we're likely about to witness (Ray Dalio again, long term debt cycle coming to an end) ... there's the right way of doing it - collectively as a world - or Trump's way, every nation for itself.

Here's Dalio speaking about it (I watch in 1.5x speed with subtitles to speed things up ..):

Trump's way right now is every state for itself. Working together as a species, the human race, will probably never happen.

Cool! But I can’t take credit. All the top money gurus preach it. It’s about time in the market, not market timing. Unless you’re Warren Buffet, it’s the way to go.

All good - I'd like to say I follow his investment advice but I'm largely wrapped up in London property only, gd expensive market that it is.

But as I'm selling up and not going back I'll have to stick the cash somewhere so will be paying more attention.

Big day today in the SC with Trump's tax returns .. it doesn't look good for him.

I don't need to be told that a guy who made 150%, and $60m, on his property in the financial crisis when everyone else's fell by 50%, hob nobs with corrupt autocrats, sues everybody, rips off charities, doesn't pay his debts, sold university courses to a bulllsh*t university, cheats at golf and has a long list of dodgy dealings with casinos, properties and highly questionable individuals isn't a total grifter, but hopefully it becomes official after today and some relatively enlightened MAGAts start to change their tune.

They will just call it fake news and say the judge was corrupt.

Apparently Kavanaugh is shaping up to be a dissenter.

I don't know if you saw Barr's Flynn comments the other day on 'winners writing history' - one of the most brazen things I've seen - but this year is really shaping up to a massive crescendo ... US facing a scorched earth policy from Trump that if he gets re-elected he corrupts America forever or he's going to jail not too long after.

You can't help but think USA will come out on top, but I'm not getting ahead of myself!

I mentioned a few months ago how nothing except an economic crash or Iranian assassination would stop him, how bizarre that it might be a once in a hundred year virus ... that he's a germaphobe would be the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately I fear it's too late. And whenever people say "it can't happen here", it usually does. He's surrounded himself with everyone who will do his bidding, just as he did in his business dealings. Barr ensures he's above the law and everything that could've/should've been done to keep him in check the past 3 years was let go or politicized or turned into reality TV by the news networks. Too many people are still making too much money off him and/or staying in power, which is how he's operated the past 40 years. Hope I'm wrong.

The way Barr said what he said, he was way too confident to feel any comfort that removing Trump is a done deal.

How's that - there's two viruses in the world and Corona one is the good one

Those of you needing unemployment assistance, this just went live.

WASHINGTON — Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and a senior White House adviser, refused on Tuesday to rule out postponing the presidential election in November, a comment that fed directly into Democratic concerns that President Trump might use the coronavirus crisis to delay or delegitimize the contest and one that contradicted Mr. Trump himself.

Thanks Amareisgod. I knew this was going live on the 12th. I have filled out all the regular unemployment stuff twice now and will fill out this long ass form too and see if anything happens. I like the part where it says if you have any questions you should contact your states unemployment office for help. That won’t be happening. Arizona isn’t taking any calls. I get a little confused at some parts. I am self employed and they always ask who my employer is. I am self employed so, I am my employer. I get jobs where clients pay us but, are they my employer? If so I had about 100 different employers last year. After putting myself down as my employer they sent me a form asking why I fired, laid off myself. Oh well, we’ll see what happens. By the time I get illegible for any assistance this will all be over anyway. Good thing I had some savings and my wife still sort of works.

Yeah, Bill Maher saw this coming years ago.

"There's two viruses and Corona is the least bad of the two.."

MSNBC is pretty adamant the election date can't be changed .. but Maddow was certain Trump couldn't win take that with a grain of salt I guess.

The constitution doesn't allow the executive branch to set/change federal election dates. But the constitution prohibits half of what Trump does daily.

Either way, if he loses he'll just challenge the results and take it all to court, jamming things up for months. It's what he always does.

I think he may actually get away with it, too. Between all the mucking with the election and the contesting of the results, he has many avenues to stay in power even if he loses / would lose the election. I don't know what we will do if he just refuses to step down or refuses to hold an election as scheduled. I don't think our military or secret service would necessarily stand up to him and force him out. Once you put an authoritarian into office, it can be quite hard to get them out.
